The pub is in a beautiful part of the IW with lovely countryside walks on the doorstep. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We booked the budget double room for two nights - although there was a good selection of quality drinks/biscuits/toiletries, we found the room too small for two people and two weekend suitcases. It would be ideal as a single room. The breakfast menu catered for a variety of tastes and the food was prepared to order. The popularity of the Sunday roast dinner speaks for itself.

We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic time! The staff were wonderful, the room was good with a lovely view and everything you could need. The breakfast was fantastic , evening meal the same. Really loved it and will definitely be returning! Our first time on the island and had a lovely time. Special shout out to Angela and Adam who were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you !

Really lovely spot for a b&b!!!! Staff were really nice and helpful!! Breakfast was really lovely - particularly as a veggie!!!! Room was too small for two and the only reason why facilities scored a four. It was ok for one night for two of us, but wouldn’t want any longer. Would definitely recommend!!

Lovely room in a nice pub. Clean, great view, nice breakfast with great kids facilities; big play park and games room. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Chequers Inn the staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast & evening menus were great & all the food was lovely. The bedroom was large as well as the bathroom the little touches of supplies in the bathroom were great, as was the lovely biscuits & tea supplies in the bedroom.

Cute, cozy room with a nice view of the countryside. Easy parking lot out back. Had dinner while we were there, which was excellent. Would recommend and stay again.

What a lovely place! The food was excellent, a very good choice of drinks, the room was really comfortable and the location meant we were no more than a 30 minute drive to any other part of the island. What really sets this place apart, however, is the staff; very friendly and helpful, and we felt genuinely looked after during our entire stay. Thank you!

Great stay at a nice, clean property. Room was a nice size and well decorated with some nice touches. Breakfast included was very nice. Great service from all staff from moment we arrived to moment we left.

Staff friendliness and helpfulness was outstanding. Meals generous and hot but rather unimaginative. Staircase to bedroom required great care to negotiate safely - would not pass modern safety standards.

The pub was lovely, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb and beautifully cooked. We also had a meal and a couple of drinks on the evening we arrived, and I can say that it was the best we'd had for a long time. Totally blew away a lot of the mainland pubs.
