On check in asked for a breakfast to take away due to a 5 am start the following morning Was told no . No air conditioning in the lodge just a fan . Very quiet location with no amenities round about . Room was clean with lovely views . Had breakfast the second morning which was nice . If you’re after a really quiet retreat then it’s for you .

Gorgeous hidden gem, perfect for a night or two away from noise and it was rather enjoyable to not have a TV, nice to switch off and relax.

Beautiful location, clean, welcoming and breakfast was excellent

Property was very pet friendly and staff were wonderful. There were however issues with the room which impacted our stay. The mattress was very hard and pillows soft and lumpy. Due to this our quality of sleep was very poor. The rooms did not come with a small fridge which would have been helpful as chilled food had to be taken to reception each time. There was no ironing board in the room and no telephone so each time you needed something you had to take a long walk to reception and back. Apart from those issues, everything was perfect.

I went just after New Year with a friend. Lovely place, spotless, cosy room and a nice overall vibe. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room as always was clean and amenities excellent. We also received complementary glass of fizz as a thank you for returning. Super dog friendly in the restaurant as well, good choice of food and drink reasonably proceed. The service from everyone was great and they made our dogs Mia feel very welcome.

Excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the facilities were fantastic. Outside lounge area has fireplaces which the staff were very proactive in offering to us. The restaurant food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner. I would definitely stay here again. Would be nice to have any sort of chicken dish on the menu in the restaurant but the fish and chips, and falafel burger was delicious.

The check in was so smooth and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a Lodge, which was very comfortable and clean. The personalised letter greeting us was a lovely touch too.

We had the best stay celebrating my partners birthday. The staff were amazing and were on hand whenever we needed anything! Would highly recommend.

Check in was a pleasure and nothing seemed the be too much for the staff at reception. Everything was explained to us and everything we needed was in our room waiting for us. The food in the bar/restaurant was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to cater for us and our dog.
