If you're not into adventurous adventures, you shouldn't stay here. The road to the location is rocky and narrow, but there's a shuttle service. For that price, breakfast is very limited, not a buffet. So, on the first day, I went to the restaurant, which requires an uphill walk, and I was disappointed to find a breakfast option that I had to choose from. The next day, I asked to have it delivered to my room. Since it's located in the forest on a hilltop, don't be surprised to sometimes see baby lizards approaching your room's terrace. Overall, the hotel staff is very friendly and kind, very helpful when asked for help.

Had such a lovely stay at Mathis Lodge, Karangasem. The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were stunning, and everything felt so calming. The service was exceptional and made the whole stay even more special. Definitely a perfect escape from the busy days 🤍

You have to try it sometime, it's crazy. It's impressive.

Staf ramah, pemandangan bagus, fasilitas dan kenyamanan hotel yang kurang, perjalanan terlalu jauh kalo dari bandara, transportnya mahal, hotel biasa aja, jalan menuju hotel kalo malam gelap, yang terang cuma di resto dan kolam aja, kalo kesini harus disiapkan matang-matang terutama fisik dan budget.

The place is very far away, it needs careful preparation. And the facilities are not maintained. However. EXPENSIVE.

A breath taking location for detox and relaxation. highly recommended.
