It was wonderful to stay at Gumaya!

I've stayed at Gumaya many times. The hotel is clean, but the last room I got wasn't soundproof. Otherwise, it's fine.

Great and the atmosphere is very nice.

It’s a great hotel, good value with nice renovation and ambience. The lobby and rooms are well maintained with great cleanliness. Food is great for in-house dining, breakfast, and the rooftop skyline bar. Definitely will stay again at the hotel for the next trip to Semarang city.

This hotel is close to the city center, and the rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. The breakfast is varied.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. The central location, however, makes the swimming pool less child-friendly.

Best place to healing or short escape

We stayed here for 2 nights due to an important family meeting here. Honestly, I am impressed with the room as it is quite big with carpet to make it a homey and comfortable situation for my family. I noticed now when I request for an extra pillow or towel and even plates and cutleries, they ask me to sign for a letter from them to lend the items to us and perhaps we will have to pay if those items are gone when we check out. I am actually understanding, perhaps as Indonesians have this kind of habit to bring home things, but well, maybe it is a little bit offensive feeling left by asking us to sign for those letters every time we borrow plates or towels, etc. However, it is back to the individual of the person who wanted to sign really. For the food, I personally have a bad experience when having breakfast, so I made a decision to just stroll around the hotel to find food rather than having breakfast in the hotel as the twice bad experience leaves a bad impression for me. Overall, if you want to stay, Gumaya is a nice hotel to stay.

Centrally located, near Simpang Lima, close to souvenir shops, friendly staff. Spacious beds and rooms, varied breakfast, and delicious value for money. I'd definitely stay here again if I were in Semarang.
