After staying in 7 different hotels in 7 days in Portugal, the Suave Mar easily stands out as the best. Reception and bar staff (the only staff that I had contact with) were outstanding. The cleaning of my room and the rest of the hotel demonstrates the high standard of the domestics work. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It made for a super enjoyable stay. EFM

Nice location perfect for your Camino experience. The hotel needs serious maintenance of the wear and tear. Staff does a good job keeping it clean. For one night stay it was OK.

The Hotel Suave Mar was a pleasant stop walking the Portuguese Camino. The room was clean and the bed is comfortable. In addotion, the included buffet breakfast was excellent.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was very nice as it was along the Camino trail and some view of water. I was greeted by a nice front desk clerk. I asked for hot tea and was provided some to take to my room.

We spent two nights here while we were on the Camino. It was very popular with pilgrims. The rooms were very clean comfortable and quiet. The hotel has a pool and bar which offer excellent bar food as an alternative to the restaurant. The bar staff offered outstanding service.

Everything was great, except the downstairs was very musty smelling, and the air freshener was too strong.

Good but internet struggled in our room and tv also Overall we thought hotel was great

Loved the room and the pool. The staff in the bar was excellent and attentive! The front desk staff was not as nice. Could not find my reservation and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. He told us we would be able to check in early and had us wait at the bar…for two hours, the original check in time.

Beds not soft enough

My daughter and I were on the Camino. It’s right on the route. Great place to stay. The restaurant is very nice.
