Room was clean, breakfast was great. If any room for improvement, the hallways smells odd. It doesn't smell in the room but the carpet in the hallways to the room. I am thinking the carpet just got cleaned maybe

The Neat Hotel is well situated and walking distance to the "Portas da Cidade" and great restaurants nearby. We arrived before check-in; process was quick and easy. Was told our room may be ready before check-in and offered to hold our luggage while we explored. When we got back the room was ready (earlier than expected). Room was clean and expected of a hotel room. Breakfasts were good and plenty of food. Staff was very nice and courteous. Always acknowledged our presence and answered any questions we had. Check-out was just as seamless and quick and again an offer to hold luggage. This is my second visit to the island and two different hotels. Each comparable and absolutely no complaints about either. I would definitely recommend Neat to anyone needing hotel accommodations in Sao Miguel.

Clean room, central location, staff was very pleasant and helpful but unfortunately and I guess because of its location and being the weekend, people were very loud on the streets until 3 am. I’m a light sleeper, it bothered me but I had to travel overseas the next morning. Was hoping to get a good nights sleep. Hotel is great value!

Had a great time. Hotel staff super friendly & helpful, there isn’t parking however the hotel staff can show u two free parking sites less than a 10 min walk from hotel.

We didnt have breakfast at the hotel, but the staff was helpful and pleasant. The location is convenient.

Rooms are reasonably clean, but the bed and pillows are very, very uncomfortable! There’s no AC in the common areas, and because of the high humidity there is noticeable smell of mold coming from the carpeted hallways. If they get rid of that ugly, green carpet the whole hotel will look (and smell) differently. The breakfast is really basic — for the price they charge, there should be more options. The location is good, though — close to the marina, stores, and restaurants, with a taxi station right in front of the building. There’s also a very good ironing room (1st floor) with a quality iron and ironing board. Yes, it’s a bit annoying to go from the 5th floor all the way down to the 1st to iron one blouse, but that’s manageable for a few days. Overall, you can expect a basic hotel — nothing extraordinary.
