Nice and friendly

Picked this hotel as it was a bit quirkier than others that are more centrally based and part of chains. Room was good and spacious. AC worked like a dream and was easily controllable from within the room. Wifi was solid and worked EVERYWHERE in the hotel. Food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant were very good (although the view is not as described on the website). Breakfast was limited but was enough and did the job. All staff, including the cleaners and those working the breakfast area were very nice. Reception staff were excellent. Pool area was good. Had an issue with neighbouring guests but was handled professionally by reception staff. Hotel website says there is 'zero tolerance' and a 'one warning' approach, but this family had multiple complaints about them over the course of the week from multiple guests but were allowed to stay. Snack options (vending machine perhaps) would be good as the hotel bar was closed the whole time we were there (there is a small 24 hour shop just over the road). Pool flooring area is EXTREMELY slippery when wet and mandatory swimming caps is a silly rule they enforce. Also, a lot of guests were intent on just doing lengths in the pool, so there is limited time to just chill in the pool (although we found it to be fairly quiet in the afternoons).

Nice hotel in very central location. Average breakfast and be aware that most facilities (gym and bar) are only open 09:00-21:00.

Secluded area near Sofia centre

Great location. Had a huge room, was very nicely done, nice breakfast. Parking is 10 euro. Only complaint is pool is not part of hotel and if you want to use it is very expensive. So why have photos and promote having a pool? And why email me aaying i have access to pool, I dont!

Hotel in nice location and the personnel helpful.But the rooms like 80ish

The hotel is rather plush and comfortable. There are lots of sculptures scattered about the public areas which is nice. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Parking in the hotel car park is charged at 10 lev per day. Our shower door leaked. There was pornography on the TV the moment I turned it on and disturbingly even when I changed channels the pornography came back when I left the tv unattended. The sauna and swimming pool are charged extra and expensive and a swimming cap is mandatory.

My own criticism is that they could have replenished the teabags & provided a spoon to stir in sugar & there was one light I just couldn’t switch off so had to take room card out every night. Other that it was perfect. Thanks.

The distinctiveness of Angel is the art work displayed throughout the hotel. In my brief stay I had the chance to enjoy some of the paintings and sculptures. There a casino onsite where smoking is clearly permitted. The breakfast is ample both in choice and quantity. Good location.

The location is good, the facilities and room were ok, and the staff was very unfriendly in most occasions.

Central location. A large spacious and clean room with a large balcony. Kind and professional staff. We received an explanation about the city and the main shopping sites in the city of Sofia.

Our stay was pleasant the staff are helpful The rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was nice with good variety of options.

One thing is it wars bed - smoking!!! In the casino peoples smoking, and all this smoke come to hotel…

Definitely not clean enough, the floor in the bathroom was dirty, the sheets has strange smell, the keyboard was broken and etc. It doesn't felt like 5* hotel, although the room itself was very big and has a king size bed. The location is also good, 10-15 minutes from Vitosha street. The staff was nice and very friendly.

Generally disappointing. All communal areas of hotel stink of smoke, as soon as you enter the lobby this hits you and is really quite unpleasant. Some staff on reception very helpful other staff such as in restaurant really not! Bar closed when we wanted a drink one night (didn’t try again so not sure if always the case) so advised to go to restaurant and staff sat on phones and refused to serve a beer. Beds a bit hard but otherwise rooms ok although only a couple of plugs in entire room. 5 star restaurant but no open bar and stinks of smoke, will go elsewhere next time

The hotel location is on the center of the city, very nice hotel our room was a large one. The room was clean and the bed sheets have changed every day. The breakfast was good and the Hotel staffs were friendly
