Amazing location, great breakfast, clean A bit outdated

My daughter's birthday trip was ruined. We booked this hotel based on it's declared facilities- the pool and the gym. The hotel didn't let the teenagers , who were traveling with their grandmother, use the facilities, claiming that "the parents are mandatory". The presence of the grandmother and the elder sister (an adult) did not persuade them. Needless to say- it is not stated anywhere that the pool can be used by adults only. I would not therefore recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with children or anyone seeking a pleasant hotel experience.

Good place and very easy to get transport.

Very rundown, it looks like they don’t fix anything that breaks, especially the bathroom is in a very sorry condition. Such a pity, it’s a great hotel otherwise, excellent location.

Bathroom showers need renovation. Parking is a problem due to limited parking spots and poor/old parking lot design.

Convenient and affordable with an excellent location. Clean.

Very old. No amenities in the room (no coffee/tea maker, just a small fridge). Access to the pool is pretty much forbidden. Only one mechanical key for my husband and I, although we had different schedules. Housekeeping insisted on waking us up ever day, regardless of the jet lag we were experiencing. Other than that, location was great

The Hotel was very quaint and great location. Only downside is there is no parking nearby or entrance drop off. Illegal parking is required to offload luggage to avoid long walk with luggage. Also we did not realize the AC was disguised as Art....Cool Art. We found the remote in the AM and realized it turned on the AC behind the picture. Live and learn. Other than that it was a lovely hotel and I would stay there again and this time use the AC

Hotel has a very good position, right near Palas Mall and Palatul Culturii. It has an old vibe, taking you back in time with its an atmosphere reminiscent of communism. But overall, nothing to complain about, it is clean and has everything you need.

We choose this hotel because of its location and the view also we booked late and none of better choices were available in the center. This hotel must be the worst hotel we stayed by far…. we had to change our room 3 times, first the AC wasn’t working, second the AC again not working, third room was smelling bad … the hotel needs major update and repairs. I don’t understand how is rated 3 stars…At check out we were charged a higher price than the one booked on line, some of staff were nice some were not, parking was probably the best deal was free in the front of the hotel and the view. Avoid this hotel!!!

This is an old Soviet-era hotel. Top location with amazing views is worth the dated look and feel. Beds are horrible.

Price was good and excellent location.

There is something quite 70s still about the decor, but if you get a room facing the Palace of Culture then the view is stunning. Breakfast decent. Cleanliness good. And attached gym and swimming pool/spa make it great value - free use to hotel guests (just don't forget flip-flops and swim cap!).

It was a nice stay. Great location, clean room, warm. Furniture a bit old, but if it’s clean and confy, who cares?

I don't think you can get a better location. The rooms were clean and even smelled clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and sports equipment double as an independent gym, but that means it was top notch and clean. The gym requires a swim cap and flip flops to access the pool and sauna area. You can buy both at the hotel if you don't bring your own. The building is older and the lobby needs refreshing, but the rooms are nice. We plan to return.
