Great hotel with spacious clean rooms, a private beach and pool and great facilities. Super friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is slow wifi :)

Really enjoyed this hotel. Have a nice bar that you can also access from outside. Beautiful beach and pool area. It is about a 12 minute walk to the ferry. And sometimes it can be slightly noisy. My neighbor kept me up fighting with her boyfriend. Finally called down to the desk and they had it resolved in less than 5 minutes. My friends also got their laundry washed by hotel. So that was a great service. Lots of cruise liners (Viking) use that hotel. Again quite beautiful.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay there again. There is a convenient bus that takes you into Stresa and Arona (the Baveno train station was not operational during our visit).

Everyone were very friendly and nice, the hotel's facilities were excellent, we enjoyed our visit very much.

The facilities are beautiful the price to not include breakfast and the parking that they have is per hour every time that you go in and out, it’s not that close to Baveno or Stresa unfortunately during our stay, it was raining a lot, but the facilities are beautiful. Decoration in their rooms are fantastic.

First of all, the staff was super professional and nice. Rachel from the front desk made our stay such a great pleasure and the overall experience truly best, with her care, attention, and service. She is truly amazing, but so are all of the staff. Also, the room condition and overall hotel are highly recommended.

Beautifully situated grand old hotel with commanding views across the lake. Very friendly, helpful & polite staff. The rooms & communal areas have been tastefully updated with modern touches. Lovely to be able to relax on the terraces or on a sun lounger down by the lake & swim. The swimming pool is rather oddly situated & is probably not quite in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The tennis court has an amazing view but the surface needs some tlc & it costs Euros20 an hour to play. It was a little disappointing that neither access to the gym nor the health/wellness area were included in the overnight stay. Again one had to pay extra for those. It would be worthwhile Expedia making that clear.

Hotel splendid was good but we encountered a few minor issues. My request for non feathers was not met until a few days into the trip even though I’d sent an email request prior to my stay. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Hard mattress and pillows like sacks. After a polite request they did change the pillows and covers. Another downfall was ants in my room. Not just one or two but quite a few. Not great, some crawling on my bed. Food was ok, not the best I’ve had and was never piping hot, always luke warm. Breakfast was ok but again I’ve had better. The hotel staff were lovely. The hotel as a whole looks very impressive, traditional and grand. The private beach and seating area outside are great. A few loose decking pieces around the pool which could be dangerous. My son stood on a few with his bare feet. There was also a leaks in the main lobby and a musty damp smell along the corridor to our room which was often busy with people on conferences in the rooms off the corridor. Spa was nice and relaxing although a water station is needed especially after a sauna!

Lovely staff, service and property. We will return.

A stunning hotel in a great location

Nice and friendly

This was a beautiful property right on Lake Maggiore in Baveno. It wasn’t right in the town center but it was a nice 15 minute walk. Convenient to take a water taxi and the front desk was very nice to call and book one for us. We did a water taxi to all three islands for four of us for 120 Euros. It was nice to have the taxi on call 15 min before we needed it to head to the next island. And getting picked up and dropped off right at the dock of the hotel was so nice.

Great place to stay for a few days. Everything was exceptional. Pool can be improved if anyone is looking for improvement. Else great place

Smart hotel with lots of different areas to relax - by the pool, on the beach, by the bar. Location suited us perfectly, with just a short walk (12 minutes) to the boat station.
