Booked the economy room as only stayed 1 night and when we arrived they told us they had put us in the standard room. Room 107 was ok, no view which we already knew, however the exterior part was ugly and dirty. The room entry cards seem to have a problem as ours didn't work and we had to go to reception twice plus in the morning the room next to us had same problem. The TV didn't work or phone, and we realised after obviously looking that they were not plugged into socket. Air conditioning went on but so weak it was pointless having on. The room was extremely warm/hot as radiator was on and couldn't turn off as there was no valve. In general it's noisy with some humming noise like from a ventilator? and you can hear noise from other rooms. Bidet in bathroom is loose. Around 7:30am this loud noise starts which appears to be the kitchen extraction which is right outside the room on the ugly side, therefore you can't sleep anymore. Beds were fairly comfortable and can't comment on pillows because luckily we had our own. Breakfast was good & all staff were friendly. The building and location is lovely and the Hotel group should invest a bit of money in upgrading it, even if it was room by room. We will not book again.

Excellent hotel near the centre of ciudad rodrigo

Fantastic hotel in the centre of this historic walled town - much better than other nearby hotels but at the same price. Free WiFi. Secure parking (extra, but not expensive) is available in a nearby underground car park, which is an adventure in itself. The rooms are large, comfortable, and spotless. It's more like a 4 star than its 3 star rating implies. Highly recommended!

Ðecember 22nd. Outside temperature 2 degrees. Only thin sheet on bed. NO blankets. I asked for heating which is reasonble as radiator was cold and aircon for heating not working. I had to put hairdryer ( also broken)on to warm bathroom/wc Bad tempered man on reception could not/would not use Google translate. I did to say I was cold . He indicated no heating until 8pm. Off after 3 hours. I did ask for a blanket using Google Translate. Horrid toilet seat with yellow urin and chips. Aircon remote( see photos) was the fithiest I have ever seen. Hairdryer had its head missing. But did warm bathroom. Beyond words especially as they leave notices to say Safe and clean. AVOID. Very dated unwelcoming and COLD

The location is perfect. The hotel is in a beautiful old building inside the city walls, the rooms are elegantly furnished. The only negative was the receptionist was not very welcoming.The car parking was a nightmare.
