Rooms are modern but still have that ryokan feel and vibe. Room with bath on balcony looking at the river was amazing

Made our first ryukan stay very special for our honeymoon. They even gave us a special gift after dinner to celebrate our new marriage!

The stores were all closed when we arrived on a Tuesday but the hotel was lovely and the staff were wonderful. The good was very good and the outdoor bath was heavenly.

Juhachiro exceeds the expectations of a stay at a ryokan. Both the common areas and rooms were the perfect stylish intersection of modern and traditional. The board meal was exceptional, and the private balcony tub was the cherry on top of our stay. Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to try the public onsen!

We stayed in the traditional Japanese room. The room was exceptional. The river view from our private outdoor bath was relaxing. The staff was attentive. Service was top notch. Would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet, rejuvenating stay.

I very satisfy. All staff are nice, clean room, breakfast was yummy and could see the castle from breakfast room.

Room were clean and big, onsen was great, especially on the second level. walking distance to ropeway to Gifu castle

Great Ryokan at great value

Staff were very friendly and it was like going back in time and experiencing Japan with old skool charm (in a good way). Nothing fancy just plain, simple and very nostalgic. Love it, would definitely return if we’re in the area again.

AMAZING! Such great service and hospitality. Front desk workers are so helpful and kind, considering we don't speak the language. The room was extremely clean and the view was beautiful. They have yukata to wear and tea provided. It is also right next the comerant fishing, so that's why we chose this place. Overall worth it in every way. Thanks for an unforgettable stay!
