Spotless and very comfortable. Great location for the price. Staff is VERY friendly and offered us an upgrade with a private bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning and TV. Will stay again!

This hostel has unmanaged bedbugs. I received a full refund for my stay because my room was infested with bedbugs. A dead bedbug was found at check in. I was told to return in a few hours after “deep cleaning” but the room still had dirty baseboards and furniture. During the night multiple bedbugs appeared on the walls and bed. We were unable to sleep, notified an indifferent overnight front desk employee, and were told the morning employee could help us. The owner was called and was heard saying “we don’t have bedbugs” over the phone to the front desk girl. She let him know I had pictures and videos. My second night stay was cancelled and refunded. It is 100% not worth the risk to stay here. The hostel does not have the procedures in place to clean rooms to eliminate bedbugs. Aside from the bedbug infestation, some of the female staff members were very helpful and friendly. The location is central. The amenities are very basic—it is a low budget hostel. I was prepared for that, but I wasn’t prepared for not being able to sleep Saturday night and spending my vacation day Sunday finding a new hotel, getting checked in, and trying to enjoy the rest of my day on 3 hours of sleep. The stay was compensated, but my wasted time was not. And, not to mention the hours spent disinfecting my luggage and clothing that were in the room… I would not return.

Amazing staff! And one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Only come with a carry-on not that much space in the rooms.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Hostal Elkano even though we had to work at communication with our limited Spanish and their limited English. One of the most impressive and welcomed aspect was the ductless air conditioning unit because the weather was very hot during our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Staff are friendly and welling to help they can.

Very quiet area, close to transport, restaurants, grocery stores. We received clean linens every day. The bathroom had new facilities. There was a common kitchen with dishes and silverware. A refrigerator and microwave, also a pot for hot water. Coffee, sugar, and tea bags also. WiFi was included. A pleasant stay. Security was good and advice given on planning our stay.

Great place easy to move around

This property was basic, it's no fancy hotel but I would rather spend my money on food, drinks and things to do than accommodation. We booked a room with private bathroom for 2, the room actually slept 3. The bathroom was tiny but clean, the shower was very good

Overall, good for a few days. Building has a weird odor. Staff were really nice and helpful.
