Great location in the centre of town, with a beautiful backdrop. The indoor to outdoor pool was a real highlight, although the pool didn't seem to open until late morning. A broad breakfast buffet with a la carte options cooked to a high standard. Helpful staff and a comfortable bed!

Excellent traditional hotel. Great location: an easy walk into town, right along the river. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. Service in the bar and restaurant was elegant and efficient. I really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful property! Fantastic location on river & proximity to town. The restaurant was fabulous!! I only wish that I was more informed about the hotel & its amenities upon check in. Also, it should be noted that massages, etc are booked up far in advance, so, do so upon booking. They have a medical spa that I was unaware of, and unable to use.

It was simply a pleasure to stay there!

The concierge/front desk team were fabulous. Kudos to Theresa for working with us in the WhatsApp to coordinate taxis to the hospital and Munich airport due to an unfortunate broken ankle accident prior to coming to Grandhotel Lienz. They also accomodated a room close to elevator and stool for shower. It was a beautiful hotel and dinner also was wonderful!

Pleasing place to be

Supremely comfortable independent hotel with professional but friendly personnel, in a beautiful river-side location. In a tradition that hangs on here, the owner was a visible and gracious presence, especially at dinner, ensuring guests are well taken care of. Extensive and well curated wine list and a fine dining room that seems well frequented by locals.

This is an outstanding hotel with a beautiful lobby, spacious rooms and bathroom, and a wonderful balcony overlooking the river with comfortable chairs. Upon arrival you receive a complimentary glass of wine to enjoy on the balcony. The breakfast buffet, with it's vast selection of offerings, is wonderful, as is the service. Also, the location is perfect for an easy 5 minute walk to the center of town. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the room was on the main road although we asked specifically a room with a view They told us. This is the rate of Hotels.com pay. Moreover The coffee machine was broken and there was no hot water in the shower. Very disappointing.😡

Good location, walkable, and good eats nearby. Fantastic view, if the weather is nice. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choices (I'm a vegetarian). I didn’t have the time to use the pool, spa, and other wellness amenities, but I took a tour and it looked fantastic; I will definitely take advantage of it the next time I visit.

Amazing hotel, it's centrally located in Lienz, parking garage, clean and nice pool. The restaurant and 5-dish menu is highly recommended!

The Grandhotel Lienz is one of the only hotels that I actually enjoy visiting whilst travelling for business. Exceptionally clean and furnished to a high standard with excellent breakfast and service. In the summer, breakfast on the terrace is a must.

Their spa, pool and saunas were all fantastic. Service was excellent.

Beautiful hotel with a nice spa and a fantastic location. We had a great interaction with Frank, the new bar manager. He was able to share an awesome collection of cocktails that he has recently put together for the hotel. Each one was better than the next. I would even recommend stopping in for that if you are in the area. One thing to keep in mind with the spa is to book your appointment early if you are looking for times just before checkout as we found out those slots fill up in advance. All in all this was a great break on our roadtrip from Venice to Salzburg.
