The hotel is very nice, with friendly staff and good food (especially if you like fish). The location is a bit odd, however, on the edge of a fairly workaday town. There is nothing within close walking distance by way of places to eat, or a beach etc.
If the hotel operated a bar it would be good, so that you could relax by the pool with a drink. Instead you have to rely on the lightly stocked mini-bar or bring drinks in from the supermarket.
A good place to relax for a couple of days but not the best location in terms of visiting Sicily's more touristic places.
