Really enjoyed the one night there. Terrific location. Staff very helpful on what was an early arrival and helping fix some plans that went sideways. Small drawback to what was a generously sized, clean and nicely appointed room was the inside stairway down to the room (old European building!) of about 15 steepish steps. OK for us, though a chore to take luggage back up on departure.

location is amazing, staff were so helpful in every area of the hotel from front desk to house keeping. Rooms are spacious however bathrooms are a little small. Color decor of the room is interesting not my first choice. Great experience

This is an old school/Old World hotel at the gateway to the old town section of Geneva. We booked a junior suite here for four nights in August of 2025 and enjoyed our suite. The furniture appears to be 200-300 years old and supports the Old World charm and ambiance of this hotel. The only real problem we had with this hotel was with the restaurant. We decided to have lunch at the hotel during the time we were there and had a very nice corner table. The food was good, but we had a bottle of white wine that the wait staff kept in a chiller just out of our reach. That meant that they had to do the pouring as I would have to had to get up to actually get my hands on the bottle. This was very inconvenient, and in the end our waiter came over, inspected the wine bottle, which still had a quarter of a bottle left, and decided to take it away despite our protests. This wasn't good and is why they are getting one star for service. The housekeeping on the other hand, was outstanding. They had a sign to hang out when the room was ready for servicing and they came quickly and did good work. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but would warn about the hotel restaurant, as that wasn't a good experience for us.

I was impressed how well the staff handled the difficult situation in which I needed to relocate to another hotel since the room I booked was not available anymore. One of their team members took us to another (very nice) hotel, paid for the taxi, ensured express checkout and made sure the breakfast was included. Building customer loyalty in unexpected situations is not an easy task, but this team did an amazing job. Will come back for sure.

A disappointing first day at a Usually Reliable Chain As a frequent guest of NH Hotels across Europe, I have come to associate the brand with a certain standard of quality and comfort. It was with this expectation that I booked a superior room at the NH Collection Amsterdam city, and even paying a premium for what I anticipated would be an enhanced experience. Unfortunately, my stay was anything but superior and left me feeling thoroughly let down. From the moment I entered the room, it was clear that the "superior" designation and extra cost did not translate into better amenities. The offerings were basic at best and certainly not what I have come to expect from this tier of room at other NH properties. However, the most significant issue was the noise. It was relentless, permeating the room throughout the day and, most disturbingly, all through the night. Sleep was a luxury I was not afforded. The walls seemed paper-thin, and the central location, while convenient, became a major drawback due to the constant street noise. Compounding the problem was the disruptive behaviour of the housekeeping staff in the mornings. The clamour in the corridor was so excessive it sounded as though they were wrestling with their trolleys. This level of internal noise is simply unacceptable and demonstrates a profound lack of consideration for sleeping guests. This experience has been a considerable stain on my otherwise positive perception of the NH Hotel group.
