Nice room, clean and quiet hotel, convenient location for public transportation, and walkable to many dining options.

Excellent staff. Spacious room. Perfect for a solo traveler. Well located. And very grateful for the complimentary treat sent by the hotel desk to my room.

Quick stop over travelling through Germany. Hotel was cheap and good quality. Small complaint that there was fruit peel under the bed. I stood in it. Other than that super convenient and fast. All we wanted.

Excellent breakfast

Stayed in the hotel for a concert at Gilsenkirchen. The hotel’s own gated parking was very convenient, the room was quiet and very comfortable. In particular, staff on reception were very helpful and made our group feel very welcome. Would happily recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to stay within easy reach of Schalke stadium.

Beautiful hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, wonderful shower. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Visited for the Rammstein performances in Gelsenkirchen and this hotel was perfect to have a restful night after a long day.

NH Essen was able to accommodate us in very short notice with a very booked hotel and we’re nothing but wonderful. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were also clean and comfortable

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location!

The people that checked us in were really sweet and then we got to the room it's really clean and stuff but if you don't have something come clean if you are staying 2or more days you can get a free drink and they have snack out for new people and there breakfast is amazing there good for everyone kids and more they where really nice and speak English if you need it the hotel room are really clean and nice we had a good view and it was fib

Nice hotel in a not so nice area.

The hotel felt fresh and new throughout. The rooms are well equipped with a fridge, safe and plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom was also new and fitted to a high standard. The reception and bar area were both clean and spacious with a small shop with snacks to buy. The breakfast was a self-service arrangement with a good choice of healthy options. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again if I was visiting Essen.

Too noisy

Mohammed was very helpful and polite. The fact that he could speak English was a plus. He also ordered a taxi for is in a jiffy. Great service. Only wish there were facial bar soaps provided and not just hand wash. Please give Mohamed a bonus or promotion.

Great property. Clean, convenient, the room had everything we needed. It's located in the city center close to shopping, restaurants and transportation. Will stay there again.
