This hostel is quite the experience. I LOVED it. The family who owns it also lives there, it is almost more like an AirBNB than hostel, so if you don't like the idea of the family being there, it's best to book elsewhere. The rooms are separated in to two spaces. One side is more hostel like, with rooms, a kitchen and washroom. The other area, you walk through the family's living area to get to the rooms. I had the single bedroom, which was off the living and dining area. The family is very nice and not bothered when you're walking through (interrupting their dinner) they are quiet and warm and will help with anything you need. The location is perfect. Right in the heart of Madrid, a block from Sol and Plaza Mayor and a very short walk to Gran Via. The area is VERY loud at night, so if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
