This is my family and I's third stay at this hotel. This time, I chose a Suite Room, probably the most expensive. I've also chosen different room types in the past.
Overall, this hotel is still okay. The price is quite competitive in its class and in the surrounding area, especially when there are discounts from the app and/or the hotel itself.
I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The menu was quite comprehensive and delicious. There were many rice options. There was plain white rice, fried rice/mawut rice, galangal rice, porridge, and so on. The snacks and traditional snacks were also quite extensive. Overall, we had a satisfying breakfast with the family. The only thing I didn't find was milk, either for drinking or for mixing with the cornflakes.
The senior check-in/check-out staff were very good, friendly, and informative. However, some of the new staff/trainees seemed to need more training/equipment, even a mock reception before being assigned to actual guests.
From my three experiences staying at this hotel, I conclude that the areas that need attention and improvement are:
1. There are still some overlooked details regarding cleanliness in the room, such as stains on the light knobs, dust on the tables, and dust on the carpet. For guests with asthma, this could be a problem, or at least uncomfortable.
2. Parking arrangements are slow and unfriendly. The security/parking attendants are less than responsive and need to improve their attentiveness to guests, considering the hotel's limited parking space.
3. Respect for guests is still standard. In other hotels of this class, I felt "regarded as important" and given great attention.
Conclusion:
Given the hotel's strategic location to my destination, which is in the area/surrounding area, I will most likely choose this hotel for future trips.
There are other hotels in the area, only slightly further from my destination, with relatively higher prices and higher review scores. The hotel is only accessible by road, not the main road. Maybe I'll try that hotel someday.
Bravo Hotel Grand Tjokro Jakarta, please improve your cleanliness and attention to guest care. Hopefully, it will be even better and more popular with customers/guests.
