We were interested in staying at this hotel because we read good reviews and it seemed like many gave it a perfect score. First impression when we arrived, the parking lot was cramped but it wasn't a big problem because there was a parking attendant who helped tidy up the parking lot, we wanted to enter the hotel but we were confused about where the lobby was, there was no officer to direct us, once we found the lobby there were 2 officers sitting in their places and when we were told it was a bit difficult to find the lobby because there were no directions or anyone to direct us they said: sorry ma'am. We got a room through the hallway, the room was quite big for a family room but there was no view because it faced a high wall (ground floor room which went down one floor from the lobby), the room was damp because Bukittinggi was cold and sunlight didn't reach the room because it was located below and blocked by the wall. The bed sheets weren't clean including the bed cover, the color was yellowish white to the point that the children were hesitant to cover themselves. The bathroom had smooth water from the tap, the water after bathing was always remembered near the toilet. The food menu was limited, not as written in the reviews. The kids initially asked to eat out, but I said the reviews said the food was delicious, so we'd just pay extra. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were very disappointed. The food was limited and the taste was very ordinary, not specifically Minangkabau food. The only plus point, in our opinion, was its proximity to the Jam Gadang (the clock tower).
