I stayed here for the purpose of attending a 3-day class in BSD. Given that I live in East Jakarta and the classes starts early in the morning, I decided that the safest way was to stay the night in BSD. My first impression of the house was that it was messy- dirty plates on and around the sink, shoes and sandals scattered throughout the entrance door, unpacked boxes stored away in the corners of the living room, towels hanged on chair backrests and bottles of condiments and snacks left open and scattered on the table. It was a bad impression and I had the feeling that I won't enjoy my stay here very much. But then came the 4 people who manage the house and live there- all 4 were undergraduates of Prasetiya Mulya University. They tried their best to give a warm and hearty welcome and I really appreciated that. The relationship that formed in the 3 days that I stayed there was more of a friend than an employee-customer relationship. We talked and shared experiences like old friends reunited and I really enjoyed that. It overshadowed whatever this house lacked and it's something that hotels don't offer if you travel alone. The Room itself isn't very big. roughly around 5x4 metres squared in area (including the bathroom). Everything else is as promised. The AC works properly, the wifi is at an acceptable speed, and parking space spacious- enough for my avanza to easily park and takeoff from it It's a good place if what you're looking for is connection and interaction rather than a luxurious stay.
