Sadly not worth the money, the room was very dusty, there was no spoons to make coffee and there was mold in the shower..the room was also very hot as you couldn't open the windows as they were on the Mani road...and the price of a pint was horrific and over pound.

Lovely staff and a real.old fashioned pub with rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable and typical of an older building. We booked it late but we're given a warm welcome and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast

Was disappointed the kitchen was not open so couldn’t have breakfast or evening meal

I didn’t want to write a negative review however as there was zero response to my messages, despite leaving it over 10 days I feel that I must. The pub itself is lovely, good food & comfortable clean rooms. However the lack of customer care lets it down. First as a previous customer mentioned is the welcome. We arrived early as you can’t tell how long a journey will take and we were told that we couldn’t check in until 4pm. We decided to have lunch then went for a walk, arriving back at 3.30pm, however we still had to wait until 4pm. The irony was that the room was ready as we were the only guests! My main concern was a safety concern. We were woken around 12.45 by an extremely loud alarm. We went downstairs to investigate/evacuate to discover we were the only ones there with no means of dealing with the alarm or any emergency contact number. After 5mins a man came downstairs who works there, he also was unable to deactivate the alarm. We obviously were unable to sleep with the alarm sounding. Eventually the man managed to get hold of someone from the pub and nearly 2 hours later the alarm went off! My other concern was the kitchen door was left open at night which was directly under the stairs leading to the accommodation so had there been a fire in the kitchen we wouldn’t be here to tell the story! There was no one in the morning and no response to my concerns and clearly not bothered that we got no sleep which is what we stayed for!

Breakfast was paid for but they dont do breakfast

Although the stay was comfortable & clean with great shower i was delayed getting into the room. Questioned the hotel that i booked the room including breakfast to be told it was their fault for not changing information on hotels.com. There wasn't an offer of free drink or something else which i thought should possibly have been.

No breakfast in the morning. Room next door woke both of us up, when asked to to be quiet after midnight, bangings of doors talking loudly, even though they said to eachother to be quiet. very strong smell of cannabis, after asking to be quiet.

Wonderful modernisation of an old property, retaining its original atmosphere both externally and above all internally. Very successful upgrade of guestroom to the standard of a good modern hotel. The hotel staff were exemplary, most especially the young woman who looked after us on arrival, served drinks at the bar and served our breakfast.

Very comfortable family room. Spacious, with separate twin room for children. Very comfortable beds. Nice food & atmosphere in pub

Average throughout in terms of comfort and cleanliness. The check-in and service was a little chaotic and short on attention.

Super friendly staff, comfy clean room, very quiet once the pub was closed, proper breakfast. Thanks for having me :)

A very comfortable place to stay

Impersonal perhaps because out of season but saw nobody in the morning.

Handy for Okehampton

No-one appeared in the morning other than the chef so it was a bit chaotic. But when eventually someone did there was no apology.

Really poor value for money, tired and foul smelling room, no breakfast on the first morning and no hot water on the second. Awful value for money and would not recommend or stay again.

We enjoyed Okehampton for its local facilities and easy to go either north or South in the middle of Devon

The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night.

Nice accommodation, staff were pleasant, room was clean and comfortable, lovely shower, very warm room. We checked out at 9.30 but couldn’t find anyone to check out with then noticed a small sign to leave the keys on the table. Only downside was breakfast was 7am -8.30am which was fair to early for us but thrte are other places in town to eat. Over all great stay and free parking was a bonus.
