I stayed here some years ago. It was weird being there because it felt like I was at someone’s apartment. The living area was full of things and the host was watching tv, so I did not spend any time there. It was awkward when I had walk through the living area to go to the toilet. Despite it has a very “homey” vibe, the overall cleanliness was ok. To be honest, I didn’t feel very comfortable here, mainly because I was the only guest and the owner was at a very close distance from my room (the whole area itself is quite small so it can’t be helped). Other travelers had better experiences, but at this is what I felt as a female solo traveler.

The owner is really kind and trying his best to help us! He also prepared some breakfast for free. Moreover, you can use the kitchen for cooking as well! Towels, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, face wash and so on are all prepared too! Feels like going back to home ね🏡

Good location (you can walk everywhere and it’s near the bus station) Good wifi Real kitchen (lots of hostels have only micowave and kettle in japan) Free breakfast (including eggs) Very clean Good value for money compared to other options in Sasebo - It’s an apartment so a bit small and bit messy globally, you feel more like you’re staying a friend place than at a guesthouse.

I stayed here for 2 nights. Kouichi was very helpful. He gave me all the information I needed.the place is very close to the station.

The atmosphere was very comfortable, and the host kindly helped me in many ways. The room was equipped with most of the necessary items, so I was able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the duvet was so soft that it was good enough to fall asleep as soon as I lay down. It is located about a 5-minute walk from the station, and if you go up the stairs in the alley, you will find the guesthouse. There is a cathedral right next door, so the view was also very nice. I regret that I couldn't talk more with the host if I had been better at Japanese. If I come back to Sasebo, I would like to have a pleasant conversation with better Japanese skills next time.
