Charming hotel with good views. Short level walk to everything in the port of Flåm. Comfortable bed. Full breakfast buffet. Blackout curtains to block late hour sunlight.

While this hotel is in the most amazing location and the staff very helpful, my “superior” room was certainly not that. The room did have a good view but was very compact and basic. I hit my head twice on the ceiling due to the design of the room and I was woken both mornings by a very loud lady on the phone at 6am in the next room. Due to the thin walls I could hear everything she was saying. I must say I was expecting more. No welcome gift or room upgrade here. Having said that the breakfast buffet that was included was very good.

Beautiful old hotel in one of the most beautiful spots in Norway. Good food, good service. Nice old fashioned room.

The hotel itself is great, right by the boat and train and it is charming. But be warned - they tell you that the only dinner option is a buffet but they don’t post how much it is. And it is $80 USD per person! Definitely not worth it, although there are few dining options in Flåm. After dinner we were given a bill with multiple tip options- the only place I have seen that in Norway. So a charming hotel but you feel scammed with the dining.

Nice location. Rooms and esp common areas are very dated and could use some upkeep. Carpet in common hall ways e.g. needs to be heavily cleaned or replaced. The room charges are high and we expect that for a tourist area but also expect rooms and common areas to be kept Better. Food was good although pricing of dinner buffet was very high. Taking it down in price would set better with guests already paying a high fee for the room

Extremely pleasant hotel with most attentive staff , fjord views to die for and easy access for the Flam train station & Flam Fjord cruise. Clean rooms and pleasant staff, lovely restaurant which had a great selection of foods for buffet breakfast & evening meals

The location is very close to the fjord cruise and Flam Railway starting points. The communal areas were nice but the room was tired with a small double bed. No choice of bedding the heavy duvet was far too hot even with the window open (in March).

Welcoming staff and nice restaurant. Limited other facilities . We had a double room and the bed was quite small - too small by most current hotel standards

This is all about the location but you pay for it. We are travelling around Europe for 3 months and this was our ‘treat’ as we paid almost £200 a night. It was off season - I believe it is double++ this in peak season. The area is lovely but please be aware if you’re thinking of visiting in the off season. Most of Flåm was closed. Plus they’re extending the Marina so there was the banging from the pile driver most of the day. Obviously this isn’t the hotels fault but I do feel this perhaps should be mentioned
