Do not let the exterior fool you. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are relatively spacious compared to other European hotel rooms, you have a private bath, there's no a/c but the windows open and there's a fan. The breakfast buffet was minimalist, but there is a communal kitchen to which you have access 24/7. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is located a block from a grocery store and less than a mile from Gamla Stan. The hostess is incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough good things about our stay there.

This property suited our needs for an overnight stay. Parking was easy and convenient. They offered a breakfast buffet in the morning that was nice. The room was clean, as was the property. We never interacted with anyone, so if we had any questions, it might have been difficult. The area around the hotel seemed commercial, but we were just there for an overnight stay for nearby visit.

Location is ok with a rental car but otherwise inconvenient. Shared bathroom facilities were minimally adequate. Relatively low cost made it an acceptable stay.

Clean and spacious. Easy checkin once I found the email instructions. Basic breakfast included.

We did not receive hotel entry code. A guest eventually let us in once he clarified our name. Very poor breakfast selection. In the back of a light industrial area. There is a bus on main road 403 2 stops into town or 15 min walk. Parking limited in town.

Comfy stay with a good price. Property was a bit difficult to find even for the locals. Good location with lots of options close for walking, food and things to do. We will be staying again in the fall

Self check-in and self check-out. Didn't meet any staff at all, only at breakfast, but it was positive! It just felt so easy and quick. Just arrive, sleep, leave. 😄

Great location and quiet. 15min walk to the castle and the city center. Good breakfast to start the day. Plenty of free parking. Perfect for those who won't be spending a lot of time in the room and just need a place to sleep and a good continental breakfast to start the day. We would stay here again. Good value for money.

Overall good value for price. 10 to 15 minutes walking distance to kalmar centrum, rooms are clean and medium size, breakfast is a good 3 stars hotel breakfast

Small room for 3 people. The bathroom door couldn't open fully because the bed was in the way. Good breakfast, decent location.

The location was about a 20 minute walk from the train station and so if have no car, should be aware of this. The desk was unmanned during the evening and there was no shower hot water in the morning. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good. Although the room was small, it was comfortable and had a fan which was a nice addition during the recent heat wave.

Parking is provided. Breakfast is inclusive so you don't need to worry about. Not many restaurants nearby so you may need to drive to further to town.

Pleasant stay for a couple of days, very clean hotel and friendly staff. Walk into main centre of town is about 15mins.

The hotel is great value for the money. When leaving the hotel, I needed to call a taxi and was surprised when the employee on duties that morning did not know the number to the local taxi station (the only one in Kalmar, I learned).

Very clean hostel - common kitchen, separate room. We went there in spring and there were only a few people in the whole place and it was lovely. Breakfast was great. Free parking.

We had a good stay here, the place is bright and clean, the room had a nice desk and was very quiet, breakfast was nice... The only difficulty is that reception operates very reduced hours, basically check in starts at 15:00 (we were told that rooms may not be ready before then!) but staff leaves at 16:00.

Our room was not cleaned and no new towels received during our stay, not sure why!?
