I booked the Red room and in the photos it looked ok however having driven 200 miles to the location i found it to be very poor.
The tray on which complimentary tea and coffee are placed was filthy the kettle was dirty the skirting boards covered in dust the wood floor under the bed has a thick layer of dust. Tge curtains was hung in such a way the looked like they were thrown in place.
The bedding was not ironed and looked like it was from a previous booking.
The tables on which breakfast is served was bare wood which was covered in stains and grubby.
All in all a terrible experience...if it wasn't for the fact i had driven so far and not knowing the area was unsure where alternative b&bs were i would have walked out.
The milk for your tea was in a flask which smelt and the milt seperated once poured into the tea so i threw id down the loo and went outxand purchased tea bags sugar and fresh milk so i knew what i was drinking was ok.
I strongly recommend dont book here its not run well and i have taken pictures which i sent to the owners who have failed to reply.
It was £190 badly spent I should have booked a travel lodge.

A very comfortable stay. Host Rupert was attentive without being intrusive. Excellent breakfast all freshly cooked. A delightful house with a particularly delightful resident - Nutmeg - a wire haired Jack Russell.

Owner was super friendly and recommended an amazing pub for dinner. Cooked us a lovely breakfast in the morning at our requested time. Rooms were huge with a nice bath and shower. Wish we could of stayed longer then a night. Thanks!

Beautiful location and place to stay. Room really comfortable, nice and cool even on a hot day and the bathroom was sumptuous.
The host couldn't have been more welcoming and the recommendation of the local pub The Rose and Crown Inn Trent was very welcome too.
A lovely trip

- nice big room. Has shower and claw foot tub. Lovely grounds. The room was a bit cold but the owner gave me a heater to use. The place was hard to find as it was on a tiny road next to the regular highway. Free parking. Owner very nice. Made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was perfect

We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend.
