We loved our stay at the Barcelo..even though the room design was

Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was large, clean and had a sea view. Large hotel, very comfortable . The breakfast buffet was outstanding. However the hotel ran low on wine during Ramadan, which was a pain. The price the hotel quoted for airport transfer was very high so we used a private transfer service. Then the hotel refused to let our driver leave for 10 minutes claiming we had eaten chocolate from the mini bar, which was untrue.This after we had been there for 5 nights and spent hundreds of euros at the hotel. So a few service failures

One of the best hotels I have ever been!

Due to an unavoidable issue we were moved to the sister hotel, The Royal Hideaway. This is a brand new hotel just opened in the last month so some facilities are not yet available. The rooms in the Royal Hideaway are very luxurious. As a compensation for the unexpected move the staff offered us a free dinner and complimentary breakfast. I would like to thank the management teams at both hotels for looking after us. A special thank you goes to Fatima Oufrid and Imane Khaliss.

The staff was excellent, and the hotel was very clean. In addition, the breakfast was well prepared, however the room itself had some unattended deferred maintenance issues. The black out drapes did not close all the way, the balcony door did not lock and wallpaper was coming off in the WC. This may have been specific to our room, but I found it inconsistent to the rest of the hotel.

Nice room overlooking the pool. It was very nice. Maybe a little too clean. There was a strong bleach smell. Idk if it was from the pool or the sheets, but the staff was very helpful. Great location within walking distance to local shops and eateries. Very nice hotel. I will definitely be back.

Staff was welcoming and helpful, spoke English well. Room was beautifully appointed and bed very comfortable. Recommend!

Hotel is conveniently located. Close to the old souq if you feel like going into the Bazaar. Rooms are clean and good. Good option for practicality.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff were very kind and helpful, the room was stylish and well maintained. The shower and sink were open to the bedroom, which we had no issues.

Great hotel. Rooms large and well designed. The showers are not as private as some may like. But the toilet has its own wash closet. Staff are extremely helpful and they are very knowledgeable. Taxis usually in front of the hotel and rides to most sights are close

Terrible experience! The room was in poor condition, broken fixtures, unclean bathroom, and generally shabby throughout. Furniture was scratched and worn, and the hallway carpets were dirty and heavily stained. One hand towel and one shower towel for two people, etc, etc. Completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be five stars.
