We went for a weekend getaway as a couple with our two dogs. The hostel is located in a very quiet village. The owner contacted us immediately to find out our arrival time and if they would be waiting for us for lunch. We were able to eat in the dining room with the dogs without any problem.
The food is very good, with generous portions and reasonable prices. You can tell that most of it is locally sourced. The breakfast is very complete, and you can have seconds if you like. He had left two dog mats in the room in case we needed them. The owner was always attentive and responsive to our requests; in fact, he recommended a nearby town where we could go for a drink.
The room was on the first floor, spacious, and clean. It's true that the floors creak and you can sometimes hear footsteps from other rooms, but if that weren't the case, the charm of the renovated old house would be lost. As for the location, it's in a small village where you hardly see any other residents. However, about 8 minutes away there's a larger town where you can go for beers, dinner, or whatever you like. And it's about 30 minutes from the center of León.
We thank the owner for his attention and kindness. We will definitely be back.
