Clean and tidy

The property was actually what we were looking for somewhere close to transportation, within walking distance and to attractions. Clean room,staff was great, breakfast very good.

You got a very nice welcoming from the staff , you was made to feel at home . The breakfast was very nice as you had a choice of what eat . And rooms very comfortable .

Lovely old Georgian home buit with everything I needed. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very quiet.

The Apple house staff were great. Very friendly, easy check in, nice breakfast for reasonable. The neighborhood is very cute with several cafes, restaurants, pubs, and shopping. This place is very close to York and is a good place to use as a home base for a visit. The room was quite dated and could use some updating. There is street noise.

The owners are friendly and attentive . They treat every customer like a VIP. The house is well- maintained. You can see every details the owners made. It is not the style of modern hotel but we enjoy our stay in this cozy and traditional english building.

First thing, the most charming owner of the guest house greets you upon arrival and gives you the biggest of smiles. We were show to our room with a very comfortable bed and a nice shower. And even though the weather was hot, ac and a fan were really good to cool us down. Location is just 5min walk out of the city centre but it’s well connected to buses and the train station. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever tried. Classic full English with homemade eggs and what it feels as local grown food. On an all. A classic English experience

The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very good, one draw back was that as it was a hot day I slept with windows open and the noise from the cars outside was a bit noisy.

Had a lovely 1 night stay. Friendly welcome on arrival. Room was clean and spacious, with a very comfy bed. Location was walking distance to the train station and town centre. Would stay again.

The Apple House was an absolute perfect place to stay. It was within walking distance of good food, sights and stores! When we come back next year we will stay here?

A nice and very affordable hotel in close to the main attractions of York. The host, Danielle, is superb and her staff were all similarly friendly and attentive.

Danielle was very kind and thoughtful. Because I had an early train and could not be there for breakfast, she made sure I had lunch for my trip. Thank you!
