I was concerned because the premises were unmanned, but in the event I had a very nice room, and a wonderful view.

Lovely location on the harbour but very thin walls so you can hear people in the next rooms. The bathroom is compact- ie tiny.

Clean and nicely planned room on waterfront. Its just a few rooms above a restaurant so easy to find food. I arrived by boat from Fowey which made it extra fun.

Great location but the positives stopped there. Room was very dirty- black mould in the shower, dusty room, carpet looked filthy.

Location is right on the harbor, beautiful views of a small but lovely fishing village. Room was surprisingly big, well decorated with an excellent bathroom. Enjoyed painting of harbor which was an exact match to looking out the window! Mevagissey has very little parking and narrow streets, but parking is provided about 200 yards away so it's an easy walk.

The location is amazing and the tapas was very enjoyable. The lack of breakfast was a surprise. We stayed in the cottage which is very run down eg door hinges coming away, bedroom door handle fell apart, toilet seat jumped when you sat on it. Needs money spending on it. The bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable and shower worked fine.

Booked the Wheelhouse on Hotels.com after applying the filter for "pet friendly." On arriving at the Wheelhouse, having driven, 190 miles from South Wales, I was told that there was only 1 dog friendly room and that was taken. The owners point blank refused to discuss. They need to sort this out before they have other disappointed guests turning up, only to find that it is not pet friendly at all!! The staff themselves were very helpful and tried to find us an alternative room; they seemed a little afraid of questioning the owners with this to be frank. Will obviously not be choosing the Wheelhouse again - with or without the dog.

Fine nice and friendly breakfast was brilliant but a bit pricey for this time of year. Room lovely over looking the harbour en suite small but clean and served it's purpose.

We stayed in Cobblestone Cottage. A little run down with frayed carpet and a tired bathroom. The fireplace had fire wood ash still in it and some of the sash windows wouldn’t stay closed (had to use a wooden spoon as a prop). The bunk bed mattresses were very old and bumpy, but the double bed was super comfy! Bed linens and towels were spotless. Fine for a 1 night stay. Be warned, breakfast isn’t included, even though hotels.com claims it is, but apparently this is only for the rooms, not the cottage. Fantastic location.

The staff themselves were nice. The problem was the accommodation. We stayed in the cottage attached to the bar/cafe. The upstairs was clean and comfortable but the downstairs was not very clean. There was a smell of rotten garbage and we couldn't work out where it was coming from. After cleaning the sides and the bin the smell was still there. It wasn't until the following day we saw that they keep their rubbish bins under the kitchen. Even with the windows shut the smell was awful. On the hotel.com site it stated that the price included breakfast. Was told by the staff that it was not and had to pay. The owner did give us a 25% discount but your site was misleading. The location itself was lovely right on the harbour. I wouldn't go to the wheelhouse again nor would I use hotels.com again.

We received a great welcome at the Wheelhouse. Newly decorated room with great view of quayside and harbour. Fab breakfast, the only negative is the size of the shower room, shower was good, washbasin too small and if you are less than 5'4'' the loo would be fine, if you are taller than that you will struggle.
