The actual place is very cool. It's an old jail so pretty funky. Just make sure you have all the details you need to get in if your checking in late. I was told they'd send me the details, but I never got anything so if I hadn't gotten lucky when I arrived I would have landed up sleeping in my car

The place was really fun. The garden area in the back especially. The rooms are cozy and the whole jail look is really cool. The restaurant right in front of the hostel makes it a nice place to hangout. My only complain was the luggage room was actually a garage and was very dirty

Nice location and interesting building, but small kitchen and not very clean. Stayed with kids, didn’t dare to cook because not clean kitchen. Ok room but very noisy and lot of party going on very late, until 3 am. Not at all good value for money.

Pretty basic for a hostel. Was allocated to a room in a cabin, so the shower/toilet facilities were about 10-20meters away (unsheltered path), shower facilities were pretty bad, was the kind where you had to press and hold for the water to run for a couple of minutes. Linen was not provided but could be rented. Wifi was pretty bad at the cabin areas. No curfew, so there was a group that was laughing and playing music up till 6am. Only plus points were the great service staff, free luggage storage and convenient location!

A cool hostel located in a former prison. I would recommend this place based on the history alone, but it was also a fantastic location. It is a short walk from the ferry terminal, and very near the historic old city. There was a lot of activity nearby, but the thick walls of the prison kept noise to a minimum.
