Lots of character, clean, quiet, excellent breakfast and easy walk to Ambleside

Staying at Crow How was so peaceful and beautiful. The view from our window was idyllic, the property incredibly lovely and the hosts as kind and helpful as one would wish

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Place was clean and our room was spacious. Breakfast was simple and we were well catered for. We were able to park on the morning of check-in, so we could go for a wander and then check-in later. Hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from Ambleside and it's various amenities.

We had a fantastic stay at Crow How! The property is in a gorgeous location, the staff are amazing, friendly and accommodating. Our bedroom and bathroom was so comfy, and nicely decorated with space for everything without feeling cramped. We would absolutely stay here again.

The room was comfortable and clean at a high standard. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was all that we needed and tasty. Service at breakfast was also efficient and friendly. The facility was close enough to Ambleside, but far enough to not have all the traffic noise.

Had a wonderful time not far from centre of Ambleside but also a bus stop 5 minutes walk away which can take you to the pier. It was lovely to park up the car and not need to use it until we went home The gardens were beautiful and lovely to sit outside on an evening with a bottle of wine and enjoy the countryside.

A perfect, tranquil base for nearby Ambleside, Grasmere & Windemere. Absolutely recommended without hesitation. Thank you.

Everything was fantastic

I loved the character of the Inn. So quaint and well done. They thought of everything for their customers comfort. The breakfast options were plentiful and yummy. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Our room was large with very comfortable bed and perfect bathroom with lovely products. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choices

Perfect ! Stayed for 2 nights. The house is very spacious, clean and welcoming. It's 10 mins walk from the town, just far enough to be convenient but also feel like your in the middle of nowwhere when relaxing in the garden. Would highly recommend

The country house is situated in the most idyllic place, surrounded by beautiful gardens, which you can relax in, and outstanding views of the surrounding fells. The property itself is to the highest standards with large immaculate bedrooms. Breakfast is delicious, with the finest ingredients and a varied menu, served by friendly, helpful staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely return.

A truly evocative stay, in the heart of the Lakes & so convenient to both amazing walks and Ambleside. Iconically old fashioned, but everything is to an amazing standard. Breakfast is all fresh & local. It might be a great side if they offered (pre-booked) packed lunches?
