Lovely location and oldy worldy pub. Lovely staff

Overnight stay at the Tickled Trout after a nearby wedding. Lovely old building We arrived before check in time and although we couldn’t get in the room, staff checked us in and took our bags to the room. Lovely comfy bed and bedding. Great bathroom. We opted to have the breakfast and it was very tasty. Overall a lovely place to stay and we will return.

What a fabulous overnight stay at the Tickled Trout. Everything about our stay was spot on! The room was impeccable, clean & with such a comfy huge bed! The friendliness of staff was great and a pleasure to talk to, especially the pub landlord/owner Brandon and the petit Blonde young lady (sorry didn’t get your name) was a pleasure to be served by! All round a top notch pub/hotel with beautiful bedrooms, cared for gardens and good food! Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tickled Trout. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely . It was really warm when we were there as it was in the middle of a heatwave. We took a fan with us although they did say there were some available. There was a small window in our room which looked out onto a fairly busy road so could be quite noisy if window was open. Other family members had a room at the back of the pub and they said it was really quiet there. Also worth noting ,in our room there were small steps down from the bathroom which could be a problem for someone if they got up in the middle of the night! ;) Breakfast was really nice as was the evening meal we had when we arrived.

The room was beautiful and the staff really welcoming. The Tickled trout has a lovely garden and bar with a great menu and a really good breakfast. I will be booking in again next month.

The room was a great size, looked lovely with nice decor, a full size mirror and was very clean. Some nice touches with biscuits and lemon sweets. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and close by to lots of places to visit. All in all recommended 😊

Lovely stay with very friendly staff. Just for a short while, front of property has scaffolding up while minor exterior decorating is taking place; doesn’t detract from the overall visit though.

We didn't have breakfast there. Bar offered a good choice of drinks. The extractor fan didn't work in the on suite but it was kept very clean. The stairs to the room were quite steep and the doors were very close together making it a little difficult to manoeuvre. The toilet was quite tall so shorter people may find their feet wouldn't touch the floor. The bed was very comfortable.

Very nice room and a comfortable bed . Everything we needed for our stay. Very friendly staff, great food and lovely area. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This has been on our bucket list for years so we finally got here for our 41st anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Our meals were lovely, well presented and very tasty. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy. Staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. I also have to mention the Balfour lager, it has a distinctive taste and is way better than all the usual eurofizz generally available. I'd recommend the Trout as a place to stay to explore the local area.

Really nice room with lovely decor. Room was clean, had a great nights sleep in the comfy bed. Would stay again if in the area. Friendly staff too.

Very nice room. Sadly food was very disappointing, lacked any flavour and tasted like prepared frozen food.
