Don't be fooled by its unassuming exterior. The hotel's interior is designed with a warm, modern colonial concept, accentuated by traditional Indonesian touches. The lobby isn't spacious, but the front desk, with its table and chairs, creates a classy and welcoming feel. Our room was an executive room, which, in terms of size, turned out to be quite similar to the other rooms. The layout and design are also similar. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't offer connecting rooms.
The room and bathroom were clean and fragrant, and the pillows were comfortable, with a choice of sizes and firmnesses. The bedroom was carpeted with thick, comfortable fabrics.
The soap and shampoo were fragrant and gentle, and didn't dry out my skin or make my hair stiff.
The breakfast menu was basic, not very varied, but quite tasty. I stayed for four nights, and the menu changed daily. The breakfast room was comfortable, not particularly spacious, but spacious enough for the number of guests.
All the staff were very friendly and professional, from the security, parking, and front desk staff to the room service and cleaning staff. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my needs.
The hotel is located close to several restaurants and cafes, and across the street from the hotel are street food vendors operating from late afternoon until midnight. The hotel is about 1 km from Bundaran HI, making it a pleasant walk if the weather is nice, or if you're in a good mood and want to get in some exercise for the day. Taxis are also plentiful, so transportation isn't a problem.
For all the amenities, the price is quite reasonable, and I would consider staying here again if I ever need to stay in Central Jakarta.
