D Loft is well equipped, well located and Paulo, the host upon arrival was very pleasant and helpful. So why the 2 star rating? We booked this apartment on account of its numerous superb reviews. So what went wrong? I can only assume that the winter has not been kind. The mattress cover was a hideous plastic thing that I have only seen before in nursing homes for incontinent pensioners, it sweats, it squeaks and was unpleasant to sleep on. However this was not the main cause of our poor sleep, that was due to the relentless banging from the building work going on in the apartment next door- surely we should have been advised of this? Next, on day 1 we awoke to a massive puddle of water under the aircon unit in the living room, we called Paulo to ask if he could sort this along with the nausea inducing smell of rotten fish coming from the fridge and flat remote batteries. After hearing nothing all day we return to discover the bucket and soggy towel still in place and the smell still present, remote batteries still flat. I contacted him again for an update and he assured me repairs had been completed, and the fridge smelt as a result of some prawns they had provided on our arrival - absolute rubbish! The next morning we awoke again to a river under the aircon unit - maybe the bucket was the repair? I advised Paulo of this but from then he ignored us. It would appear that Paulo is great when things are going well, less so when they are not.

We love you D Loft. Your place is clean and has everything you could think of needing while away. The standard welcome offerings is anything but standard. Paulo is great. You guys got this down. Hope you keep growing. This particular apartment basically hovers over the loud and boisterous tourist drag but you’d never know it from inside the apartment. Inside, it’s serene and calm. Also super big bonus - there is an underground parking spot. In a town that lacks for nearby parking, this was so welcoming. If you need more than one spot - not to worry, there is a car park building slightly up the hill - a 4 minute walk. The apartment is huge and the there’s a great rooftop spa. Loved the balconies facing west for the last light of the day.

Within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The person who hands us the house keys is friendly and helpful. He gave instructions on how to operate the jacuzzi which is on 24/7. The jacuzzi relaxes our body even in winter! Generous welcome gift of wine, beer, fruit juice, water, fruits and Portuguese egg tarts! Highly recommended stay! Apartment is clean and modern looking!

A great place for spending some days in Albufeira Thanks again for the warm welcome!!! It is a great apartment and the jacuzzi is appreciated after hiking in the country side in Algarve Extra points: - private jacuzzi - parking lot for your car - great welcome - quiet place - proximity of shops/restaurants (my hint: go to Alfredo 😉) - very nice view from the balcony - huge terrasse from where you can admire shining stars at night I do recommend this place ❤️
