There were feral cats all over property the fridge in our room smelled like sour fish the cleanliness of the property was horrible and I didn’t have hot water none of the days I was here I went to a friend’s hotel on the other side of the island to shower I contacted the front desk multiple times and nothing was done about me not having hot water

The Bar Restaurant Service Is Horrible Everything Else Was Great

The hotel was located on a beautiful beach in St. Thomas. The staff was professional and very friendly. I gave it a 5/6 for only a reason. Our bathroom floor was seeping water from under the tiles. Although, they tried fixing it, they weren't able to repair it. They offered us to change to another room. However, we loved the room which was on the ground floor with a beautiful view of the ocean. They did accommodate us with extra towels for the bathroom floor daily.

I DIDN'T MAKE MY 2ND TRIP BUT MY FIRST TRIP EXPERIENCE COMING HERE WAS A VIBE AND I AM COMING BACK. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE POOL & BEACH IS ALL THERE THE ROOM WAS CLEAN JUST NEED TO HAVE MORE PRESSURE WITH THE HOT WATER BUT OVERALL I LOVE IT SEE YOU SOON

We love Emerald for our shorter family trips - you can't beat the location and convenience! The venue itself has not been upgraded in years, so wear and tear on the property is becoming noticeable but service is good, and it works well for those who want to use it as a home base.

Just overnight stay going to and leaving St.John VI. Hotel room very clean esp. the bathroom, nice large illuminated mirrors in bathroom. Nice balcony and almost right on the beach, beautiful. Lunch and dinner in Cafe at hotel and again at the beach and open air. Enjoyed my day there.

The property is amazingly beautiful! I love the view from the rooms. Food is expensive though and alcohol was weak.

Perfect location right on the beach! If you can’t do stairs or carry your own luggage, consider that before booking. Food was average so check out all of the amazing restaurants on the island.

Staff was friendly which was the best out of the entire stay. However they had no beach towels, no available beach chairs at which they kept locked up. Resort pool was dirty, as if they didn’t clean it out. Not a lot of excursions around, at least that the staff could recommend. Not many restaurants around to eat at. Not one of my best vacations but it was doable and we made the best of it.

I rated this property as average because the attitude of the worker at the concession stand of Josie Special Events, Cafi, was so bad that it left a bad impression on everything else. If it had not been for this one worker, I would have rated Emerald Beach much higher. When ANYONE approached her to buy anything she looked annoyed and was barely civil. She overcharged us and instead of apologizing and correcting the mistake she said "So?", and quickly swiped the credit card so the transaction would go through and it would be up to me to dispute it. I will be contacting Emerald Resort with my complaint. If they choose to do nothing, I will post this incident on social media and ask my friends to repost on their social media. At least this way future guests will have some idea of what they are in for if they have to deal with her.

Depending on the building you stay is the qualify of bedroom you get...no coffee maker...hoy water comes and goes

I really enjoyed my stay at Emerald Beach. The property is older, but everything worked and was clean. The service is a little slow in the restaurant and bar, but I thought the drinks and the food were good. The beach was clean, but it does get crowded when cruise ships are in Port. I enjoyed the ocean front balcony that I sat on each morning and evening with coffee and my drinks. I would definitely stay again, but I would make sure that my stay did not coincide with the cruise ships.
