The staff were very friendly, there was never a time that you were not greeted by a staff member no matter what there role was there. We felt so welcome!

A Taste of Paradise: my eview of the Outrigger Beach Resort in Mauritius From the moment you arrive your eyes are drawn to the breathtaking turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean where the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort wraps you in pure bliss. The resort sits along one of the island’s most serene stretches of coastline, where the sound of the waves becomes the soundtrack to your stay and every sunrise feels like it was painted just for you. With its lush tropical gardens, wide-open views of the lagoon, and architecture that blends seamlessly with the natural beauty around it, the Outrigger creates an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply calming. I can only praise the warm, friendly service and the delicious variety of dining options, from fresh seafood by the beach to beautifully prepared Mauritian dishes that showcase the island’s rich culinary heritage. The resort offers a wide range of activities to suit every mood, from peaceful mornings at the spa to afternoons filled with snorkeling or paddleboarding, and evenings spent enjoying live music under the stars. I stayed as a solo traveller but families also love the vibrant kids’ club, couples adore the romantic beachfront setting, it really is a perfect place to unwind and relax. But what truly elevates the Outrigger experience is the staff. They are the heart and soul of the resort; their kindness feels genuine, their hospitality effortless, and their attention to detail remarkable. Whether it’s remembering yo

The gym wasn't working and when it finally was opened, some equipment was not working and broken. Waiters at main restaurant are young and inexperienced. Limited activities, especially when watersports was often not allowed due to weather, even if it wasn't that bad. When arriving the full-board inclusive options were offered and taken, but turns out what the representative told us as being the "full cost" turned out to be a per day rate. I should have checked what I signed but they should learn to communicate more clearly

Grounds and beach were lovely. Options for eating were poor. We did not go all inclusive do paid MUR 3700 for the buffet for 2. Very expensive for bland food, puddings were gelatinous and ice cream full of ice chips. Very disappointing food. Pool lovely. Beach and walks nice

The hotel needs to be cleaned up. The toilet next to the main pool is stained with faecal matter that's been there for a while. The seats in the reception are covered with bird and lizzard droppings. Even the chairs in the main buffet have bird droppings. The hotel is also falling apart and needs an overall refurbishment or at least repairs

The property is not that well kept, dining option are not great and trying to book the other restaurants is difficult in spite of there being free places. Staff is friendly and helpful but it definitely is not a 4 star quality although the rooms are big. Overall it is too expensive for what it offers.

Toilet facilities around the site akin to a filling station experience. The real 5* experience must be tucked away in the Paradise Club section for which they charge an extra daily fee of around £50. More a 4* hotel experience for the rest.

A very long way from anywhere, there are many more convenient hotels closer to Port Louis. The location is very pretty and green, but so are most of the hotels on Mauritius. Hotel is getting old and in need of upgrading, very limited restaurant options and the pools were freezing. Buffet restaurant was very poor quality with very poor service.

Staff is super friendly. Food is delicious but expensive if going ala carte. Lots of mosquitoes in room… spend 10-20 minutes trying to kill them before sleeping
