Property very close to the airport and just walking distance. Staff very helpful and nice property

Everything was amazing

Just terrible staff, lack of communications, from top to bottom. Breakfast packs for early flight wasn’t arrange, another group looking for it in the morning no where to be found. Don’t get caught up with the pictures ads, very noisy music up til 9-10pm, couldn’t shut windows properly as its broken, cockroach and stain on towels. You paid premium prices for stay. Same goes with restaurants, meals waits anre insane especially dessert never turn up, followed up twice after 1 hour of wait, gave up and asked for little discount but boss refused even though we didn’t get it, she eventually made her staff to make it but we are ready for bed. Same goes with other group next to our table their kids just ended up going to the room. It’s a big let down, also had a 2 years with me traveling.

Positives and negatives: + Rooms actually are nicer than they look in the pictures. We were pleasantly surprised + Restaurant is really good quality, both staff and food were great + Aircon worked very well and room didn't seem to humid + Love these guys because they are kind to animals. - No late checkout. It's advertised at a $50 cost, but when we told "Donni" that we wanted to check out at 1pm she said that we had to leave at 10am because someone else was going to stay in the room. The place was not fully booked, and so if check in is at 3pm is 2 hours not enough to clear a room? - Tuesdays is Renovation day. If you are staying on a Tuesday, bring your earplugs. They were working on the rooms or the roof and it was all day with power tools. We knew about the partying until 10 and 11pm, but we were not counting on losing the nap.

My husband and I could not fault The Islander. From the moment we checked in we felt like part of a large family. From the friendly smile and impeccable service from Serena at reception, to the amazing party vibe from Memory in the Hula Bar. To our wonderful friendly wait staff, bar staff, room turn over ladies. WOW JUST WOW. Meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner were so tasty, fresh and very generous portions. Thanx chefs. Beds super comfy, shower was exceptional pressure. Meitaki Ma'ata Team.

The staff were so pleasant and helpful! This was a perfect stop after getting off a long flight late at night. We were able to walk to the hotel- so perfect!

Thanks to great communications with the hotel’s staff, our check in was very easy, and our room was very nice and loaded with the needed amenities. We had an excellent breakfast in the morning with a wonderful view of the ocean. Would definitely stay at the Islander Hotel again.

Convenient for an overnight stay. Close to the airport for access to early morning flight to outer island. Nothing available to eat or drink on arrival.

Great property

Looks nothing like the photo Music booms all day (11am - 11pm) from the Hula Bar No place to relax, no sun loungers, pool is small & really only suitable for children. Food was awful - except for the tuna sashimi Only good thing was reasonably priced drinks Would never stay again

Needed a place to stay for a night following a late arrival. Perfect location and short walk from RAR. Room was very clean and cold AC. Just what we needed. Staff were very nice and helpful. Will defintely stay here again.

The stay at the Islander was amazing from the moment I checked in right until I collected my bags for departure. The staff were real lovely, they became like family. The room was spacious, cosy and super comfy bed. The food was just delicious every single meal. Coffees and cocktails were superb. I would definitely stay there again

Our room was quite nice, modern. Our food was good, especially the breakfast. The people at the front desk were especially nice and helpful. Great view of the sunset.

We stayed at the Islander Hotel for our last night in Rarotonga before heading back to Australia the following morning on an early flight. Staff were lovely. The room was ok but a few stains on the bed head put me off! Bed was comfortable. There was a t.v in the room but no remote and didn't seem to be working at all. Went across to the restaurant for meals. Good views, food well priced, good entertainment on. The beach bar does play music til around 10.30-11pm so no chance of an early night, although appreciated that they do turn it off at a reasonable time. This hotel is basically across the road for the airport so very convenient for an overnight stay.

It was everything it was expected to be! Easy walk from the airport at 11 pm and back for another flight in the morning!

Great place with excellent staff. Close to the airport and also has a great restaurant.
