On the upside a very central location and warm spacious apartment. The street local in this part of Dublin is scruffy and a little edgy. While we were very pleased overall with the apartment there were a few omissions which would have made it more of a home from home ie -the apartment was missing a teapot and bread knife -two pretty essential kitchen items and there are no hooks to hang towels in the bathrooms. The auto door shutting mechanisms were too strong resulting in difficulty forolder people and banging doors.

The best thing about this was location. Walking distance to Guinness, brazen head, Jameson and a few cathedrals.

The property was a decent size. Unfortunately the decor was a bit warm, the floor was pretty dirty, and everything was just a bit below what was expected.

I liked space and access to amenities, privacy as well as feeling of being in some neighborhood rather than isolated tourist in the hotel.

what we liked: comfortable bed, very clean, excellent location (we didn't go there but you can walk to the Guinness tour in five minutes), help for finding the place was available late at night (delayed due to Ryan Air). what we didn't like: directions to find the place were TERRIBLE. There is NO sign anywhere that says "St. James Apartments". There IS a sign on the entry door that says "Hanbury Mews". That would have been VERY helpful information to know! We had to ask the person on the phone if that was the right door, we were on the phone several minutes and this information was never divulged to us, there is no house number outside. This was on a very dark street which made it even harder to find our way around. We wasted a few euros and 15 minutes of everyone's time (including the cab driver) trying to find this place... in the rain. Also: the edge of the shower/tub is VERY high, it was not a little dangerous stepping out of it. Finally... maybe nobody cooks for themselves when visiting in Dublin? Because the kitchen - while it was spacious and had a dishwasher, ample counter space, oven, etc - was furnished with the bare minimum of plates (4), cups (4), and utensils. There were NO cooking condiments whatsoever, we would have had to furnish salt and oil and sugar and all that little stuff on our own. I guess that's one way to keep the kitchen clean, by discouraging people from actually using it... Would we stay here again? I suppose, now that we know how to find it...

The apartment was clean and easy to find, very close to the Guiness storehouse. However, the bathroom had an odd mildew-ish smell, and the noise in the alley was almost nonstop, day and night.

Liked the space and decoration. Didn't like the small toilet area and no rails to hang the wet towels out.

Upon first inspection we were happy with the apartment. However the longer we stayed the more we found and disliked. I think the best way to describe it is: - not enough cooking equipment in the kitchen to cook and serve with - lights not working in all rooms - only enough hot water for one person to shower once a day - wifi didn’t work at all, despite communication with owners - no instructions for the washing machine - bathroom facilities was more a bath with hand held shower nozzle as the shower nozzle hook was broken - unsafe area of Dublin - heavy doors on all rooms & the door stops are not adequate as they pose a risk to injury Having said that the apartment was quite roomy, clean and the styling was nice.

The apartment is clean and remodeled. It sleeps up to 4 people with a great queen bed, and a sleeping sofa that looks ok to sleep in.

St. James apartments/Thomas street apartments/Hanbury Mews.....one apartment, three names. Very confusing. We arrived at 15:30, but were not allowed in, as check in time is 16:00, although the apartment was ready. Frustrating after a really long flight! I paid the full amount long before our stay, but you only get the door code after the deposit is also paid. The apartment is nice, although it does not look like the pictures. The TV did not work and it took 2 days to fix. Also, there is a wifi password, but no network matched the apartment number. We had to play around and in the end connected to another apartment's network. The apartment was well-equipped, but the alley next to the window was quite noisy. Maybe in need of some customer care 😥

Location was good, apartment was decorated nicely and was very spacious. However in the pictures it looks like you have a garden terrace or there is a garden of some sort. We didn't see one. Our windows weren't allowed to be opened at night for security reasons as they opened up right on the pavement of street. We had no hot water on the first morning and had to wait until housekeeping came to show us how to boost the hotwater system. It would have been good to know this before our first morning showers.

Very handy location to town but beware of the surroundings. Drug dealers on the street outside and around the hotel in broad daylight. An upcoming new area but not suitable for young children. The room was spacious and well equipped with washing machine/dryer, full kitchen. Overall not a bad stay but just requires you to keep belongings safe on your body.

Had an amazing stay, the apartment were lovely however we found it difficult to find the apartments as we’ve never been to Dublin before and don’t know our way about. However once we found the apartment everything was easy enough to locate.

Brand new renovated apartment with quite new cookwares, in 100m close to many super markets, asian, euro markets. Walking to many Dublin attractions. The bed is comfortable and living room with good furniture and cable TV. Super fast wifi in apartment. Washer/dryer in apartment. Bare minimum supplies. You need buy your own shampoo and dishwasher detergent but not a big problem since Lidl and TescoExpress are in 100m distance. Samll towel for showering.
