Hostal Anton Martin is in a very good location, plenty of places nearby for meals, tapas, breakfast, coffee. Our room was at the back, so nice and quiet and little noise from other guests. Good to have air con, which wasn't too noisy and great to have a fridge. Room felt a little cramped but plenty of storage space and a decent shower in the ensuite. Very good location for Prado,Retiro and Rein Sofia and also Atocha station. Also walkable for Plaza Mayor and Metro nearby.

THE GOOD: The staff are great, the room was very nice, walking distance to every mayor attraction. THE BAD: elevator was always smelly, the bathroom had always a bad smell like a sewer.

A very decent place and within walking distance to some great restaurants

First of all I received text day of check in that check in was at different hotel a block away. I had to get my card from there. My actual hotel was inside a very old building that was partially renovated. The room itself was new and clean, however it was so small I could barely open 2 carry ons. The hallways with the doors to the rooms felt like a storage area and the block outside didn’t feel very safe. The front desk person however at the other hotel was very nice and helpful. However, I would not be able to stay there more than one day.

The room is quiet and nice. The checki in process should be clearly stated that you have to check in around the corner at hotel cervelo I think is the actual reception.

The rooms are small but new and extremely clean. There is a small fridge and safe. You have to go to another building, a five minute walk away, for reception, to check in and out and eat breakfast. Staff was very helpful.

Calling this property a hostel is an understatement, from the staff, to the facilities and the room, it’s a hotel! The location is great, there is a laundry mat and a bar across the street and a metro station (Anton Martin) up the street. It is greatly located as most of the tourist attractions are just a 20 minute walk away maximum. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean and modern and everything was perfect! I would recommend and stay here again without a doubt!

Close walking to most everything. However, beware if you book this hostel room, the taxi will drop you off at the address and you will find a locked door and no instructions where the registration office is or map to it a few blocks away. Our luck, a guest was going in and we entered and used the buzzer the the main office. Same thing happened to another couple later that evening as we were going out and they had been standing at the door for a while. We took them to the offfice a few blocks away on a different street. This is not a new problem the owner wishes not to addree. A simple note and map at the door would solve this issue.

The Hostal Anton Martin itself doesn't have a reception. You check in and have breakfast at the nearby Hostal Cervelo. The Anton Martin is clean, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The price was very reasonable for what you got. I would stay here again.

Checkin process is Mickey Mouse. Doorbell intercom connects to reception 3 blocks away. They say temporary till May’23. Outside looks bad. Inside new & modern. Room definitely small but well furnished, very clean and, during my stay, quiet. Jose at reception helpful & friendly. Would not repeat unless they have resident staff.
