Hotel is located at a good location as most of the market including 24 hours convenience store is approachable by walking. However, rooms are not good. Very old creaky furniture , smelly towels, low light - not so clean washrooms. Even basic accessories like slippers and hangers are not available. Good Indian food is available in restaurant which is hard to find punakha onwards.

I had a wonderful stay at Gaki Hotel! The hotel is quaint and charming, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food at their restaurant is delicious, especially the local Bhutanese dishesfresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The location is convenient, and getting around is easy. I highly recommend Gaki Hotel to anyone visiting the area perfect for both relaxation and experiencing authentic Bhutanese hospitality.

The hotel is located in the middle of the town and is very accessible from many shops and hotels. The room was good and well maintained. The washroom was clean. The service, however was average. Though e we received a warm welcome and quick check in when we arrived and were quickly provided with a room heater for the harsh cold, the service went downhill from there. The staff, especially at the restaurant, seemed highly untrained and unprofessional. None of the requests that were made were adhered to. The food is subpar. The view is beautiful. The location and cleanliness remain the highlights though.

An excellent hotel located in the heart of Thimphu city - right next to the clock tower. The rooms are excellent - large, spacious with beautiful city view. The rooms are also very clean, the food is amazing. Loved their complimentary breakfast spread. Only one set back we had booked the hotel for two nights, from October 1st to October 3rd, but due to road blockage we were stuck overnight at Tshimasham on October 1st. We requested the hotel for any refund because of this natural disaster but that was not provided.

Good location and food but poorly managed front desk .... front desk remains unattended for hours... no one is accountable!
