Coffee and sugar in the room were renewed once every 3 days. The people working in the bars are not friendly and welcoming, especially in the bar in the pool and in the buffet where food is served. I really didn't like that you can't put food on your own in the buffet, but have to wait for the workers who don't speak English at all. The person who served pancakes, without gloves, moved all the pancakes with his bare hands, separating them from each other, constantly rubbing his hands on his trousers. No one helped to take the suitcases from the room before checking out.

When requesting any service they are not professional, the food in the specialized restaurants is average or bad, the staff in the bars, cafes and restaurants are friendly and attentive, the beach is good, the pools are very clean, the room was not clean when we received it, they cleaned it well afterwards.

All I can say is that I will be back! This is my third time in the DR, and I couldn’t be more impressed with this 100-out-of-100 resort. It offers delicious premium food and a private beach. It's worth the money you pay for the Enclave, as you get premium access and drinks. The best part is that most aquatic sports are included with your stay.

My husband and I went on vacation together. It was an unforgettable holiday. The room was very beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. Whenever we had questions, everyone did their best to help. The food, both in the restaurants and buffets, was excellent—always fresh and delicious. The pools were very clean, and the sea was simply amazing: no waves, crystal-clear water. The beaches weren’t very large, but they were very comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this resort!

Generally good, but a few significant problems. * no enforcement of "no smoking". Multiple people smoking vapes and cigarettes at the pools every day. No enforcement by staff and it was obvious to smell. All kinds of staff walked by without doing anything. * Staff "marketing" in the lobby. Guys who harass you to sign up for a 90 minute class for some coupon or something like that. You end up trying to avoid the main lobby at all cost because you're going to be harassed by some aggressive "marketing" person every time they see you. You paid for a relaxing resort, but you're being bugged to watch something like a time-share presentation all the time - yuck. * aggressive cigar and jewelry sales on main pathways. Again, they generally make the campus unpleasant to be at. * did not honor my shellfish allergy at the sushi restaurant and brought out a shrimp nigiri on my plate. I am not deathly allergic to shellfish so it was no big deal but this is a serious problem. * all prices listed everywhere on the resort are in USD, but then when it's time to check out and the bill comes it's in DOP, so it makes it hard to validate that the bill is correct. I made the staff adjust the DOP to USD and it seemed OK, but for example, we did two excursions for $30 each, but then, a few days later, when I asked her to convert the DOP to USD on the bill it was $61. That was the case for every line item and then the total bill in DOP was converted to USD. Am I paying extra for conversion?

Really good this place. We have a really good time. We will come back. The bartenders really good, Diorka an Pedro in the beach were super good and fast. The Venezuelan were really good on entertainment. We enjoyed it.

Check in was delayed with little feedback. There was a fire on night nearby that made the room smell like smoke all night. Burned eyes not pleasant at all. Beautiful facility.

Great staff. Sometimes hard to understand. Servers and bartenders were spot on. The pool staff was great too, plus the ocean dude waiters. The folks attending the non-motorized sports equipment were good as well.

I'm the kind of traveler who does a lot of research before choosing where to stay, and I like to feel confident that I’ve picked the best option even before the trip starts. In this case, I can say with certainty—Hilton La Romana did not disappoint! Exceptionally friendly staff – everyone we interacted with was welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. High-quality food – While most all-inclusive resorts don’t offer gourmet-level cuisine, Hilton La Romana delivers consistently high quality meals. Um dos pontos que me surpreendeu positivamente foi a limpeza. Os banheiros eram todos muito limpos e os restaurantes também. Sempre que entrávamos nos restaurantes, nos questionavam se tínhamos alergias e ofereciam álcool gel. Ficamos bastante tempo, comemos de tudo e não pegamos nenhuma virose de praia. A estrutura era boa (praia, muitas cadeiras disponíveis, muitos restaurantes, parque aquático perfeito, toalhas, piscinas, passeios turísticos, spa, casino, lojas, cafeterias). Mesmo sem ser “enclave”, conseguimos aproveitar. Mas é interessante ir sabendo do “enclave”, porque eles oferecem. Pontos negativos foi que sentimos falta de arroz branco (típico da culinária Brasileira). Tinha morcegos em cima do forro do nosso quarto que faziam barulho à noite (recomendo não ficar no último andar). No último dia, fomos abordados pelos vendedores do The Playa Club que tomaram muito tempo nosso (justo no último dia). Por fim, a camareira não recolocava todos os produtos do banheiro e do frigobar (só quando eu pedia). Fora isso, vale a pena visitar o resort (nota 8,5).

The place was definitely clean — in fact, everywhere smelled of bleach. But I can’t say enough about how terrible the food was — by far the worst food we’ve ever experienced. And I booked this spot because the reviews mentioned how great the food was. Even the fruit wasn’t good, and the Caribbean always has great fruit. I mean the fish was mush — which makes no sense given where we were! I resorted to eating rolls with butter and cucumber slices for lunch most days. I could go on and on about the food but I’ll share some positivity. The beach was beautiful! Overall the facilities need a good updating but that’s pretty typical these days and not a dealbreaker (again, because it was overall clean). Take it from me, if you enjoy decent food (at a minimum) particularly on vacation, book elsewhere!
