The property was fine. But it was not the room in the advertised pictures.
But the issue wasn’t so much the property itself, but the lack of communication with the host. Although in what I’m about to share, the situation has nothing to do with the host, it has everything to do with the Goodwill of those who rent out their property.
We checked in very easily on a Thursday afternoon. Within hours, my travel partner had to go to the emergency room. Sadly, she was in the emergency room for the remainder of the trip. On Friday morning, I contacted the host to let them know that I was checking out because my focus now was on my friend and her well-being, and I needed to get closer to the hospital. So my 4 day reservation was cut to less than 24 hours. I contacted them so that they would have the opportunity to rent it out to somebody else. I was hoping for some grace in our situation and waited eagerly to see if at least 1/2 of my money would be refunded since out of 4 days, I stayed for only one night. But I heard nothing from the host. I contacted them again to make sure they knew what was going on. Nothing. I communicated again before taking the time to write a review and still heard nothing back, which put up a red flag for me.
If you ever choose the rent this venue, do so at your own risk. If anything were to happen, or if you ever needed to contact the host for any reason, you may or may not have success.
