A really beautiful, tastefully decorated, sophisticated boutique hotel in a great location, on the canal. Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were soft, fresh and fragrant - everything felt fresh and clean. You can but canal ride tickets at the front desk and it is a lovely thing to do. Parking was included and a short walk over the bridge of ribbons. We loved our stay here

The staff was very helpful and made recommendations to make our stay better than we imagined.

With having only eight rooms, this boutique hotel is amazing. We arrived (from Lisbon by train) early so popped in to drop our luggage. Although we were earlier than 3pm, our room was ready so we were able to check-in. Staff are incredibly polite and even gave us a brief history of the building, whilst escorting us to the room. The room was fabulous and beautiful decor throughout the hotel. Three double, shuttered windows over-looking the canal. When open it could be a little noisy, simply from the boats tooting their horns, which was fun! When shut, the windows were total sound-proofed and black-out shutters. There is a lift/elevator. There is even a rooftop bar and seating area inside and outside balcony. The bar is via an honesty system, which we didn't use but looked amazing choice and reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable and superb power shower. So, highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location.

Very good standard of cleaning throughout. Staff very friendly and trying to be helpful. However the hotel has a number of underlying problems. The design is style over function - e.g only enough space to hang one towel/ inadequate storage for more than one or two day stay etc etc. The stay was topped off by a roof leak that required 2 bins to catch during a last night storm. Unfortunately this leak has evidently been occurring for some time. A shame as someone has obviously spent a lot of money on this hotel. Good breakfast.

An amazing hotel, relatively new, rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated, best breakfast so far in Portugal, in the center of Averio. Don't think twice.

Fantastic boutique, in the perfect position to walk around Aveiro, check in was very helpful - free parking in the shopping centre car park - 5 mins walk, gave breif explanation of the historical points of hotel. Recomenndations for dinner - O Barrio was superb. Nice breakfast and of an evening sit on the 4th floor balcony having a drink from the honesty bar - the room was very spacious over looking the canal, good fun - excellent hotel
