Kelly the host is really nice. Very up to date decor, however room wasnt the cleanest. Couldnt use two of the pillows as they smelt mouldy and were dirty cases Our room (101) came with two keys, one for room and one for front door which was explained, however our door couldnt lock. I phoned Kelly and she explained she would come and check it out within 10 mins. Upon arriving back at hotel having been out all day, our room was still unlocked. Fortunately we didnt leave anything of value in the room. Overall the building was really nicely done up, however it just needs a good bloody scrub.

We didn't stay at the hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly, the surrounding area was deprived with half the buildings either boarded up or in disrepair. Secondly, having a 'seaview' and being a 'boutique' hotel is debatable, but definitely not from the outward appearance of the property. It was scruffy and needed maintenance to the paintwork and front door. Thirdly, to be made to stand outside ringing a bell for 30 minutes is unacceptable and shows poor customer service. The decision was made to leave and lose £100. We'll stick to the standard we are accustomed to in the future, which meant sadly rearranging plans with family who were staying elsewhere in Blackpool.
