Comfortable and friendly with excellent breakfast

Loved it, waking up to a great view from Room 8. The bed was a bit too soft for me but that's a personal preference. Everything was perfect and can't recommend it enough

Excellent food…good setting…but very small room

Beautiful quiet inn in scenic, yet convenient location. Staff could not do enough to help. Food was excellent.

Arrived Sunday afternoon. Welcomed by the multi tasking receptionist. Warm and friendly booked in shown to our room. Old timber beams ,great view of buckfast village. Ample tea coffee etc,compact shower and bathroom. Ideal for our needs, good price and a bar with more types of Gin thans good for you, lovely stay

Welcoming staff and good breakfast cooked to order. Very quiet at night and well connected to main routes through this part of Devon.

I received such a warm welcome from Tessa when I arrived and straightaway I was made to feel at home. The room was was perfect for my needs. Very clean and comfortable. Can't wait to go back again!

Stayed for one night for a wedding - staff were kind and helpful and stored our bags for us. Room was clean and well furnished, the fluffy bath robes were a nice touch. Comfy beds and a good breakfast. Good parking and convenient for us for the wedding location. Nearby to lots of attractions in the area.

We had a great stay the family room was perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was great and the curtsey car is a great a addition.

Warm, friendly welcome, food was excellent, room was small but good shower. Fluffy towels and a basket with most things you’d need. No water in the room but we didn’t ask. Nicely done up. Good breakfast. Would stay there again.

Stayed here for a nearby wedding at Kingston Estate. Perfect location, beautiful room and comfy beds. Lots of power points which made getting ready easy. Breakfast was also really good. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Great pub/ Restaurant/ hotel with excellent food and drink

A good overnight stay

A perfect setting, excellent food and very friendly and efficient service. Although I had a "compact" room, it was more than adequate. In delightful surroundings, the hotel has been an excellent stat point for touring Dartmoor.
