The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was clean.

The bathroom was very small.That is my main criticism otherwise the hotel is very comfortable..There was also no bath soap wash in the shower.and the phone was not working properly.

Beautiful hotel and lovely room. Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was with the wakeup call and taxi booking we scheduled for the following morning - the staff completely forgot to call us, saying they had a different time. We were able to show the front desk the hand written note from their staff the previous night confirming the time we had requested. Fortunately we work up ourselves so made it in time for our flight. Mistakes can happen, that I understand, and it all worked out, but what was disappointing is that at no point did the person on the front desk apologize for the oversight on their part, instead was more adamant that the mistake was not on their end, despite being able to produce the hand written note from his own colleagues.

Basel is a small city by all means with great transportation options. The transfer from the airport was free thanks to the Baselcard you will be receiving upon check-in. You can show your reservation on the way if asked. Hotel is right next to the train station and one of the main transport hubs. And all transportation is for free thanks to tourism tax. The hotel; the reception, the food, the restaurant, the location — everything was top notch!

The building and rooms are modern and beautiful. The staff was very kind and helpful. And the air conditioning was magnificent on a very warm day in May.

Clean room, friendly staff

Everything was great - hotel room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety - kids loved it!

The design of the hotel rooms was uncomfortable, no space to put anything, you could hit your head where you put your luggage. If you were not careful, the room was so hot. We had to wait five hours for the room to cool down and could not sleep. Modern, yes,, comfortable NO!

Staff were great, the hotel was modern and clean, and it had everything we needed.

Very disappointing. Was told at check-in that breakfast was either buffet or we could order off the menu. Next morning we went to the restaurant to order a small breakfast and were told we could not - it was the buffet or nothing. They said we could go to the bistro/bar for a light breakfast. We went there at 9:40am and the sign at the entrance said they didn't open until 11am. Then went to the front desk and they said it was open and serving food. Went back into the bistro/bar and talked to the bartender, and she said they were serving drinks but no food. Then back to the front desk person who said she would check, but we gave up after waiting five minutes. She then called us in our guest room to tell us the bistro/bar in fact was not serving food, but we could go up to the restaurant for coffee and a croissant. All of this took about 20 minutes. We gave up and went to a nearby restaurant. Just poor service, incorrect information, incorrect signage at the bistro, etc.
