The attractive hotel is very conveniently located at the edge of the old city. Parking was provided across the street. Our room was compact but very well designed, bright and fresh feeling. There was also a small balcony with seating that was a pleasant place to view the activity in the square. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. My husband has some mobility limitations and I was concerned that the hotel has no elevator. I explained this at booking and was appreciated being given a room on the first floor, up only one flight with a good railing.

Excellent location on the centre of town, convenient for all amenities and the magnificent Abbey and Monastery.

Room was ok, free parking place also good but there was just one piece of boiled egg after begging it, no any other hot food for breakfast.

Location of Hitel perfect. We didn’t have breakfast as it was finished by 9am. - tad too early.

The owner was so welcoming and showed us the best spots to visit. Parking was really easy. The Christmas market was right out our window but we were a few days before opening.

Very central location and clean accommodations; however, there is no sir conditioner, only a fan. One thing that I didn't like was the fact that they kept getting into our room to open and close the windows, leaving the door open a few times for sir circulation, but it was never explainer to us, neither asked.

Fun place to stay so close to the Melk Abbey. No lift or AC but opened windows at night and the provided fan made the room very comfortable. Quaint hotel and town. Easy access to the Abbey and walking distance to the Danube.

The gentleman at the reception started out fine but became condescending quickly. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it said it had a laundry facility. When I ask about doing laundry, I was told that there isn’t a facility in town but sometimes the hotel will allow guests to do their laundry onsite, but he would have to check. I was told to wait while someone was located to ask. I was then told it wasn’t possible. This hotel should not be allowed to advertise a laundry facility.

This is a nice hotel with great location, but not having an AC in the middle of August heat wave really spoiled the experience. We spent two quite miserable and sweaty nights, while otherwise, happy with the service, rooms, and breakfast.

It’s a charming little hotel right in the town square and at the base of the Abby.
