Had a great stay that definitely met our expectations. Room was beautiful and comfortable with much needed AC. Perfect, relaxing location with a beautiful pool and beach. The hotel has a newer chef who has upgraded the food which we enjoyed so much we didn’t feel the need to schlep into the busy town. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make our way back to Sri Lanka one day. The hotel also provides but they seem to be around especially if one is sensitive. Also special mention to the owner who is super friendly and hands-on enduring that the guests’ needs are being met. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel

Everything was divine! Staff was helpful, kind, and extraordinarily friendly, made lots of friends. Location cannot be topped, beach front to an exquisite beach and lovely pool with comfortable loungers. Rooms are tastefully designed with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and so near to the ocean you will have the best sleep ever listening to the sound of crashing waves. Unforgettable experience. Halycon occupies a beautiful location on Mawella beach. The toom was spacious, comfortable and had a lovely sea view.

This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :)

An absolutely perfect stay. This hotel truly feels like you’re staying in your friends villa, if your friend provided a 5 star service! All staff were incredible, rooms spectacular, food was amazing, and beaches/activities in the local area are second to none. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you are looking to stay anywhere in this area and do not stay at Halcyon Mawella, you have made a mistake!

We had a great stay at Halcyon Mawella. It's a perfect location - long walks along the unspoilt beach were fantastic, the cocktails were done of the best we've had in Sri Lanka, the room was great and all off the staff were super friendly! We really didn't want to leave!

Very peaceful, very relaxing with very kind staff who have been ever so helpful with an issue of mine which was totally unrelated to the hotel. I definitely recommend a stay at the Halcyon if you are in the beautiful south Of Sri Lanka.

Best stay in Sri Lanka! Beautifully decorated nice hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly and foods and drinks are very good. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely stunning. We had a view on the sea which was lovely.
