Hello, I’d like a refund on our stay for many reasons. Since arranging our room has been anything but ideal. The air con wasn’t working and has been in direct sunlight all day. So that meant by the time we arrive with two young kids, the room was unbearable, even when arriving at 2300. We also messaged and ran the hotel to ensure a cot was already in the room, which they confirmed there would be and there wasn’t. The next morning after no sleep for anyone we noticed that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly and still had lip sticks marks everywhere. When we reported this in the morning before going to Lego land, they said it would be cleaned by the time we got back. Which it wasn’t. Air con still wasn’t fixed for the second night and having asked for a separate room or fans, nothing arrived / no support. With a 1 year old and a 5 year old that meant no sleep again in a 30 + room which also isn’t safe. We also had some food in the restraunt sat evening and this wasn’t worth the price with 90% of this being left dispute another £57+ bill. I love staying at village hotels as I stay at them all the time with work, but this wasn’t the ideal birthday trip for my 5 year old. A refund would be great or at least speaking to a manager about our very disappointing stay

Very pleasant stay plenty of parking space

Hotel was very busy when I stayed as a couple events on at the time. Some rowdy people. But staff handled it well. Compact room was clean, a bit drafty from the Velux window but managed as the weather wasn't too bad. Plenty parking, didn't struggle considering gym/swimming onsite for local residence. Interactions I had with staff was pleasant. Great location and town centre not a far drive away. Park not far a walk away either. Reasonably priced, but doubt I'd stay there again.

We arrived later than expected so did not use the pool which was one of the things we were looking forward to. However the meal and drinks were much better then we expected as vegetarians there were a Only 1 thing on the menu however my wife had the Asian salad and we had broccoli instead of duck my veggie burger was one of the best I have had to be honest. Breakfast was good and again very helpful staff as we asked for vegetarian sausages and they were great

The room itself was fine, but the amenities were poor. The room is only made up if you're staying more than two days, and even then it's only on request. Our bins were never emptied in a week. Tea and Coffee was not refilled. The self check-in procedure worked badly, and required an extra £10 per day parking fee, which I was still charged even when not using the car park. Despite trying to position itself as a family hotel, access to the pool is limited for families, and the onsite restaurant has almost no child friendly options. In short, this felt like a large, expensive gym with a hotel attached as an afterthought.

Great room , bed perfect. very quiet , great A/C, Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner ( attention to detail - previous occupant's hair grips were on the floor). Biggest let down was Breakfast. very transport cafe. Staff seriously struggling to keep up with turnover of customers .

Staff great, clean hotel, great swimming pool, changing rooms had hair dryers and straighteners. Bar, good, food classic sports bar food.

I had a noisy fan and asked for another room all sorted bit got another noisy room Foods great bars good rooms are noisy the air con or the fan in the bathroom noisy This was ground floor maybe higher are better

Clean room comfortable beds and good location

Upon booking my room and two others I took the pub & grill upgrade. £75 for a £90 voucher for myself and two friends. It took two hours to get staff to understand that I had upgraded. I paid the full food & drinks bill which was just over £123. I was then debited from my card £123 (bar/food bill), £75 (upgrade fee), £5 parking! I am £198 out of pocket and rang everyday with the promise that a manager would call back. I’m still waiting and will now proceed to contact consumer rights & take legal action. I have stayed at village hotels numerous times but this will be the last.

Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms were big and spacious. Feel the carpets, furniture and design are in need of a refresh. There was a musty smell throughout the corridors and the room smelled sweaty. Fortunately I arrived at 11pm so I opened the windows and aired it out which helped with some of the smell. The corridors were dingy and musty tho.

Room was clean But smelt so strongly of bleach/chlorine which was overbearing, I presume our room was directly above the pool/gym area after then being woken at 7am by blaring music beneath the room which we guessed was from the gym. The night prior we ate in the restaurant which was so busy staff were all over the place and run ragged, when one of the meals arrived it was cold and when I sent it back it came out 20 mins later with no sides it originally came out with. We ordered a second round of drink which never arrived after 40 mins I asked at the bar for a refund and was told by who I presume was a manager she would look into it and come back to me but then began to serve other people waiting at the bar. We waited patiently another 20 mins but ended up just leaving as was so fed up of sat around waiting. Overall shocking service from village hotels which is disappointing as they are normally our go too hotel when travelling in the UK.

It’s stupid that there is an additional charge for parking. It’s not like it’s the middle of town

Room was clean, steam room, sauna and pool was nice. Restaurant was nice but breakfast not recommended.

On arrival we were impressed with the reception areas and staff. Until we checked into our room to find a steal ceiling joist, plaster board and a whole section of the ceiling open. So as we entered the roo. I fell over and was folled by the children then falling over me. When we went complain, we were offered free starbucks drinks for use in the morning. We were swapped to another room and then offered breakfast. But coming home it has dawned on me how serious that could have been. Had it fallen as either myself or my children entered the room.

The walls of the room (at higher points) were not clean. The cafe was ok but not cheap No problem with staff
