Stunning hotel, with modern, stylish interiors and great facilities. Very comfy bed and beautifully decorated bathroom with large shower. Information about discounted city parking prior to arrival would be useful as we found it a little confusing and tricky with dropping off luggage that we had to walk 15 minutes across town with. Location is quiet; the staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff were great. Hotel is really nice, room was great. Quirky style to it. One major issue, for the price of the breakfast I would expect it to be perfect. The poached eggs were perfectly done but stone cold when they came out on my plate and on my wife's plate. Would definitely stay at The Dean again, will stay clear of the breakfast however.

We had a fantastic stay at The Dean Galway! To start, reception is fantastic. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room itself was really nice—we were especially grateful for the spacious shower. They offer complimentary coffee and tea and a great selection of add-on mini-bar snacks and drinks. The location is just perfect—only about 10 minutes to Eyre Square/Shop St and 15 to Latin Quarter! Overall, amenities are great, staff is wonderful, and we had the best experience with the Dean!

What a wonderful fun hotel. Stayed here three nights and found the staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Great breakfasts. I was impressed to be able to find my coconut milk latte in the morning. Didn’t get the opportunity to try the heated pool/Jacuzzi or the sauna but was a great central location to explore Galway.

We had two very unusual experiences at The Dean Galway during our three-night stay. On arrival, we were checked in and given key cards for Room 141 (the room number was also written on the card holder). When we entered the room, it was clearly occupied, with luggage and clothing visible in the room. We immediately left and reported the issue at reception. Rather than apologizing, the staff member suggested that we had gone to the wrong room before issuing us keys to a different room. We were prepared to put that behind us, as we otherwise enjoyed the hotel. However, on our final evening we dined at Sophie's. We arrived for our 6:45 p.m. reservation, ordered drinks and food, and received our drinks and starter without issue. After that, we waited an unusually long time for our mains. We asked twice about the delay and were told the kitchen was backed up, although several tables seated after us were served, finished their meals, and left before our food arrived. Our mains finally arrived at 8:20 p.m. Ten minutes later, our server informed us that the table was booked for 8:45 and that we had 15 minutes to finish our meals. She apologized but said there was nothing she could do and suggested we move downstairs to another restaurant if we wanted dessert or coffee. Mistakes happen, but being given access to an occupied guest room and then being rushed out shortly after finally receiving a delayed dinner made for a disappointing experience.
